#429 Extended Gear Head Adapter , BLACK

These extensions work great for my boat. I actually removed, then re-used the actual gear heads on my Scotty 1050 downrigger boom mount rod holder to make it possible to change the rod angle more towards the stern. The modularity of Scotty accessories is what I like most. I can use these extensions to raise a planer board rod holder up, or to bring it inboard/outboard for easy reach for dipsey rods. They seem expensive for what they are, but Scotty products are good quality, so you are getting many years of use. They're not built for extremely heavy duty use though... there is bend and play in the extensions and rod holders because they are plastic, so you have to plan what you're doing so you don't overload them.

Good quality, better than paying $150.00 for fabricated aluminum.

I have been pretty satisfied with a few Scotty products as I have recently had a use for them. All are good. I guess I assumed (for some reason) this would be a little wimpy extension arm and wasn't sure that it would work for my application. Before I received it I had a shopping cart full of RAM mounts thinking this wouldn't work. (I am not hands on familiar with them) My cart is now empty. This thing is solid an versatile. A similar ram set up would be about $75 unless I missed something. I think this is exactly what I need and If it fails, it won't be the products fault. It will be mine. Tight lines.

I use this mount extender on a Scotty bait board and it works well. It is robust enough to hold the board stable even with a drink holder added to the board holding a full glass bottle of beer. I like the Scotty line of products and have several of them. My only general complaint is that I cannot adjust the pivot points to get the board to be almost level, but sloped slightly forward toward the boat. There are add on disks that I can use to give this the functionality that I want, but for the price paid and the fact that this is an extender with two adjustment points, I think it should have come with more adjustment "spots" included on the product.

No more trolling from kayak with rods behind me. I added a cross bar with two rod holders. I troll for striped bass with two rods with rods visible and easily accessible. When I bottom fish I can easily see the bites. The extender flexes but has not broken even when 50 pound catfish have slammed it. The flexing actually serves as an indicator when you get a bite. Love it. My fish finder is centered between the two rod holders in the middle hole of the crossbar. Perfect when I want to use it. I recommend this product highly with the cross bar for trolling and bottom fishing.

Using these with the oarlock holder mount and bait caster rod holders, these work very nicely for what I need. I wanted the rods slightly inboard and aft, so I can grab them without reaching over the side of my 12ft aluminum boat. As others have said, you can't get them clocked perfectly one end to the other. A few more teeth in the gear heads would have been nice. Overall, happy with the extenders.

I bought this in conjunction with a Scotty Bait tray. My hope was to have it extend my tray inward from my side rails, however there is no way to adjust it to have the tray level. It was delivered in perfect condition and it arrived on time.

他Scotty商品の接続部分(両端の短い部品)と延伸部分(長い部品)が、90°に取り付けられず斜めになる。要は、短い部分が平行にならないという事。魚探を取り付けるためのもので、真っ直ぐに取り付けられない。Scotty製品の不良は、ここ１ヶ月で2度目。検品体制をしっかりしてもらいたい。早くまともな物を送り返して欲しい。

I like the quality and length for my boat. Very durable and can change angles. No issues. Definitely worth the buy.
