what material are these stuffed with? would it be ok to give to a baby putting things in their mouth? Thanks!

Hello. According to toy insider they have a safety rating of 0+ which means they are suitable for any age including babies. The material is safe to put in mouth. Kellytoys the maker of squishville do say 3+ however.

is this the same softness/material as the larger squishmallows?

It is made by Kelly Toys, the maker of Squishmallows so its a super miniature version of them.
