Just as good as West System
I work on model aircraft, not full scale boats and aircraft. I don’t need a full sized laminating resin roller. These little ones are perfect and work great. They hold just enough resin to help wet out your layup, don’t stick, and don’t leave any bits behind.I had been cutting down West System rollers. I haven’t done the math, but these are very convenient and I would buy them again.

These disintegrated after 3-5 minutes of use
I tried to use these for epoxy paint on the bottom of my boat. They were horrible, shedding foam and coming apart almost immediately.

Good enough for simple paint jobs.
These are not made of heavy foam. The foam is fairly thin, but then I was using them outdoors to do simple staining, and I had no intent of cleaning them after use. I just discarded the roller at the end of the work day. I would recommend them for simple, non-critical painting needs, like refinishing a birdhouse.

Essential for Rolling and Tipping Wet Edge Boat Paint
This was the secret weapon for tipping and rolling Total Boat Wet Edge paint. The foam is frightfully thin, but that was the secret for getting a thin enough coat that it flowed out nicely. I went through several iterations of nap and foam rollers before I switched these on the final two coats. They were a lifesaver.

Best for rolling epoxy
I buy these and cut them in half for a four inch roller. I use these exclusively for rolling epoxy and fiberglass. They don’t want to leave bubbles.
