Q: Amazon lists the 21272 as being a single line feed, though the greenworks site lists it as a dual line -can someone confirm for me please?

It is a dual line and you can get replacements by searching for PA66-G30 which is in the spool. Just bought an extra 6 pack on amazon for 9.99.

Q: What is the height of the product?

Don't know exactly (can't get at it to measure right now) but the handle can be extended so it is a comfortable distance so a medium height person can hold it so the bottom (guard and cutting lines) reaches the ground. I would estimate 36 to maybe 44 inches.

Q: Can I purchase string for this and wind it myself instead of buying the prestrung spools? I have done that for years with my Black and Decker trimmer

Yes you can. Winding the sting is not a problem. Putting the spool back into the trimmer is not as easy as your B&D.

The 10 Amp is certainly the more powerful of the two. The 4 Amp is quite adequate for normal household use.
