not damascus at all. Has a crazy curve to the blade. I ground it down some, thinned the handle, and sharpened it, works better that way. Its ok, but i would not buy one again

This knife is intended for small and delicate work. The hidden tang extends into the handle only by 1/2 to 5/8 inch based on a simple magnet check. Damascus is real. People, for $12 this is a good deal. I'd pay more for a full tang build.
