This is a lovely brush, I bought it because my old one was falling apart, it's the first time I've had a self cleaning one, it's so much easier to use, the hair came straight off. My dog was tangle free and happy.

Its A Brush, the handles comfortable and it's easy to retract the bristles by pressing the switch/button. I thought I'd give it a go to see if it would cope with a couple of large Alaskan Malamute/Husky Hybrids... i.e. Alusky's. If you know your Artic Breed dogs, you'll know their coats are thick, double coat, and they tend to shed big style. As for this brush, it barely coped and at one point I got the impression the bristles were going to break. Recommended for medium or short hair dogs, but dogs with long hair, and especially those with a double coat, you'd be better off purchasing something else.

Great price, and easy to use

I was a bit wary of the spikes on the brush but was pleasantly surprised that the dog sat still for me. Lifted a good amount of fur and I’m very impressed with the spikes disappearing when I press a button and I’m left with a neat handful of hair to dispose of.

This is a great slicker brush for my 100# Lab mix! It is her favorite activity - having me brush her all over! The bristles are tipped on the ends so that it doesn't scratch her skin, and long enough to remove her loose undercoat! It's easy to use since the bristles retreat inside the tool so that the removed hair slides right off. It's a pretty purple color and works really well! It's pet-friendly, and my girl gets excited when she sees me get it out!

Great quality, works well. Has a retractable pins button so that the bristles can be pulled back into container head before storing it, which helps clean/ remove hair from pins easily and also avoid pins from getting bent.
