Renter friendly height adjustment for low showers!
I've had this for over 2 years. I definitely works to improve the low water presdure in my apartment. Also made the shower taller so I can get under it!

Good showerhead after a little country re-engineering
Overall a good showerhead, but like others I found it necessary to do a little armchair surgery on it to make it really shine. Still, easy to install, no tape needed, hardly any tools needed. Leak free on the first attempt. Seems pretty durable. We have really hard water, so I tend to give showerheads a good soak in vinegar every few months or so, we'll see how it holds up to that. I have not seen the drooping problem that a few others have mentioned, but, again, we'll give it time and see.

No More Floppy Showerhead from WaterPik, They Fixed It!
Finally WaterPik fixed their floppy shower head. I had an older model (off white) for last 2-3 decades and the outer plaster started unwinding and looked bad. In 2017 I bought a new one (Model NML 603) which I still have, its been hidden under my couch for last 9 years (brand new) because it was a floppy one just like my old (off white) model that was unravelling. Problem was, when I turned off the water the shower head would fall down and hit me in the back of my head. I allowed this for the past 9 years because we were desperate for a shower head like this and its all that was available obviously. Well, now its 2025 and I can say that WaterPik finally listened and fixed their floppy heads. This Model XPP-703E is much stiffer and remains where I put it and does not fall down when I turn the water off resulting in me getting beat up in the shower. WaterPik should have never let those older models leave the factory floor because now they have old floppy ones still being bought with bad reviews to follow. If you've loved these flexable neck showerheads from WaterPik for decades and need a new one, make sure you get Mode XPP-703E and you'll like it even more. Thank you WaterPik for cleaning up your mess, I gave up on you for the last decade because I thought you forgot how to make a flexible showerhead. Welcome back!

Very LOW FLOW, but repairable
Let me begin by stating that I have had nothing but WaterPik goose-neck shower heads for years and more years. I wanted to be able to give this shower head a great review. But unfortunately, as this shower head comes out of the packaging, it's pure junk. That said, it is 100% repairable. If you have a really complete tool bag, then it's a really easy fix. But some people may have problems with the repair, which I will go into in a moment. After you do some minor surgery to the shower head, all of the problems will be resolved. So let's get into detail about the problems (one is more of a marketing issue than a problem). 1. LOW water flow. What I meant to say is L-O-W water flow. >> LOW << 2. Plastic gooseneck does not hold it's position, as it comes out of the box. 3. It is marketed as having 7 sprays. It has ONLY 5 sprays. 1. When I said that this shower head has low water flow, I was being quite generous. The word "PowerPulse" in the name is 110% marketing hype. I replaced an older model of WaterPik gooseneck shower head that had great water flowl, expecting something of similar power. What I got was the kind of water pressure you might expect to get from a kinked garden hose. It turns out that WaterPik has gone commando, in restricting water flow. They advertise "PowerPulse" but they don't tell you that they have sacrificed flow, for what they are unjustifiably calling power. There are two components to what most people think of as water "Power". PRESSURE is only half of the equation. Water FLOW is equally important. What WaterPik has done is to place a serious restrictor in the gooseneck, so as to reduce the water flow. Then, to make up for the low flow, they have reduced the size of the jets, both in the outer sprayers and the center massage sprayer. The resulting spray may have a similar PSI (pounds per square inch) rating as other shower heads. But the extremely low flow means that what you feel seems to be much lower in pressure. That's because not as much water is behind that pressure. Think of it this way. PSI determines the speed at which the water come out of the spray nozzle. Flow determines how far it will travel and how hard the water will impact it's target. In the case of things like soap and dirt, flow also determines how fast the soap and dirt will be washed away. In other words, a 5 minute shower can easily turn into a 10 minute shower, because with less water, it will take longer to rinse off. This can be fixed and I'll explain in a bit. 2. WaterPik has switched from a metal gooseneck (the part you don't see, inside the outer plastic cover) to a plastic gooseneck. Those of you who have used the older WaterPik gooseneck shower heads will recall that moving them around would cause a significant squeak, from the metal gooseneck inside the large plastic cover. But those shower heads would stay where you put them. The new plastic gooseneck does not stay where you put it, even when the water is on. This can be fixed and is fixed, when the flow is increased, which I will discuss. 3. This shower head is marketed as having 7 sprays. It has 5 sprays. The additional 2 sprays are simply lower pressure version of two of the other sprays. When using the outer fine spray or the inner more powerful spray, turning the head a little further does not change the spray pattern, but only reduced the water pressure. You can achieve the same thing by simply turning the water pressure down a little, at the valve. This is not a big deal for me. I can live with 5 spray patterns. They are 1) fine spray (outer ring) 2) fine spray with massage, 3) massage 4) massage with power spray (inner ring) and 5) power spray. FIXING THE SHOWER WATER FLOW: There are two devices that are embedded in the gooseneck that have the effect of restricting water flow. One of both may be removed. I included a photo of those devices, with this review. Removing either of those restrictors will probably void your warranty. But to me, the shower head was worthless, with almost no useful flow. It was a throw-away. I'll refer to the devices by color - white and blue. The white device looks like a small filter, that may actually help protect the shower head, if you have minerals in your water. I left mine out, since we have ultra-filtered water feeding a whole-house water softener. But if your water is not already filtered, you may want to keep the white device. The blue device appears to be the actual water restrictor. It also has a small 'O'-ring attached to it, on the top. WHITE: Removing the white device is easy. Although you may want to keep it, as a filter, you have to remove it, to get to the blue device. Looking into the end of the gooseneck that attaches to the pipe, you will see the white device sticking up. It is held in place by a washer. You want to keep the washer, so be careful with it. Remove the washer and you can lift out the white device with your fingers. If you choose to leave it out, you may find that the thickness of the washer is no longer thick enough to keep water from leaking around where the gooseneck attaches to the pipe. Under normal conditions, the rubber washer will keep this shower head from leaking, without the use of plumbers tape. But depending on how your pipe is threaded, you may find that the washer is no longer thick enough to seal the connection. So you need to have some plumbers tape handy, just in case. Either way, when placing it back on the pipe, you only have to hand-tighten it. BLUE: The blue device is what appears to be the real restrictor. But it will take a little more work. Once you have the white device out and sitting on your workbench, you can see the blue device. The thing that I found worked well, to quickly remove the blue device and its 'O'-ring, is a dental pick. But if you don't have one, a very small paper clip might work. Use a dental pick, jewelers tweezers, or other very small tool to remove the 'O'-ring. It is very loosely held in place, to that should not be a problem. Removing the 'O'-ring will expose 12 small holes in the blue device. The blue device is a simple pressure fit. Insert your dental pick into one of the holes and start pushing the blue device around in a circle, as you give the device a slight twist, with the dental tool. It should release rather quickly and pop half-way out, at an angle. Then just lift it out with the dental pick. If you want, you can then put the white device back in place, to filter your water. If the pressure it still too low with just the white device installed, then you may want to remove that device too. Just remember that you may have to clean the shower head more often, if you remove the white device and don't have a whole-house filter. Results: Boom! we're back to having good water pressure AND FLOW. The massage actually beats on my back, rather than taps on it. A side effect of having more water pressure and flow, is that the plastic gooseneck now stays where you put it, when the water is on. When I turn off the water, the gooseneck may drop down a little, depending on where it was positioned, when it was on. But under pressure, with no flow restrictor, it stays in place. Now that I have resolved the two major problems (flow and positioning), I am quite happy with this shower head. It's what I had originally expected of a WaterPik shower head. But I had to give it a low rating, because it should have come out of the box with a good flow or at least had instructions for removal of an EASILY accessed flow restrictor. Sure, I was able to figure out the problem. But fixing the problem, without the proper tools and a handyman gene, would have been quite difficult. Also, with the flow restrictor in place and the new plastic internal gooseneck, the shower head would not stay in place. If it had come from the box in it's current condition, I would have given it 4-stars, subtracting one star from bad faith advertising (7 spray patterns, versus 5 actual spray patterns). If you are a tinkerer, then this shower head should not present a problem for you and I would advise that you try it. But if you are a person who calls the electrician to replace a broken wall plate on your light switch, you probably want to avoid this shower head.

I have the older version of this product for more than 30 years! This is the simplest but most versatile shower head I’ve ever used. Simple solution to infinite angle of adjustment, no drilling and no messy kinking of hose and anchor for holding the shower head. I am glad this is still available and hope to use it for another 30 years!

This is pretty simple to install and use. I put it on my daughter's shower so that it can be low enough to still be effective for her. It is easy to angle and point wherever you need it to and has multiple settings.

There is one thing that needs to be upgraded. The long hose needs to be more rigid, when in use, the head droops down and does not hole its position. Everything else works excellent. I had a previous version that held its position, but not this model.

This is the second time I’ve purchased this shower head. I have to have this style because my shower caddy hangs off my pipe where the shower head comes out. This is a really good shower head but you’ll have to make sure to first unscrew the white water saver at the end where it attaches to the pipe and then after that there is also a blue water saver disc type thing inside you’ll have to remove as well or you’ll absolutely hate the water pressure. Once that is done you’ll have great results.

Don’t really need all the settings but you get to find your favorite. Replacing an earlier version, lives up to expectations. Like the ability to adjust the height and position. Handy for cleaning the tub/shower.
