This book holder is a multi purpose stand. It not only works well for books but also for iPads. It can be used while sitting or lying in bed. Either way it takes the strain off of your neck. No more being hunched over looking at books or using any size iPad. The base is heavy so that it can balance a book or iPad when the arms are extended. The rollers on the bottom of the base work well on wood or tile floors but they aren't robust enough on carpet. So you will leave a carpet trail.... You can solve this by purchasing 2 of these. Leave one by your favorite chair and the other one in the bedroom next to bed. You will not be disappointed and you will see your chiropractor less.

Does not serve the purpose. The base is too heavy and the books are not held properly. They keep falling out. No adjustments for ipads.Waste of money.

Needed; Balance, strength, and a quarter required. Not a chance I could get it tight enough with a quarter(no load on adjustment, while preforming said "adjustment"), and a screwdriver "will break it" the user manual states. Rather redesign the foot print to provide better balance for less weight. A venture worth presuing.A new development, "racheting swivel") adjustment #1 requirement. Support the use of textbooks( 8-10#). An attainable goal, and a caliber to justify the cost.

Husband loves it and uses it daily. No problems except it’s heavy. Does the job and works great for people who are bedridden.

I'm a PhD student and read a lot! This product is saving my neck! Can be used to hold books and iPad or any size as it's adjustable. Yes, it is on the heavy side so it's for at home or office use, and not portable. The weight is acceptable as it's needed for book/iPad stability.

Works great. I only wish the holder portion could pivot in multiple positions.
