I cannot answer the question except to say that it is advertised to stop bleeding, not to heal a wound.

I will offer this advice from personal experience...when traveling, always take it with you. During the 7 years prior to my retirement, I travelled all over the US and Asia and Europe, almost nonstop. On one trip I was in the airport at Shanghai returning home. I somehow managed to brush my hand against a sharp metal fence corner. As I was on blood thinners, blood went everywhere and wouldn’t stop. I went to the men’s room and took the powder out of my briefcase. Even though it bled nonstop for 20 minutes with no sign of stopping, from the time I poured the powder on the wound until it stopped bleeding was about 10 seconds.         
 Less than an hour after my accident, I saw a woman and her child standing together near the departure gate. The woman was having a problem with her hand. The tissue she had on it was soaked in blood. I asked her if she spoke English. She said “Yes, I am from New York.”  She said yes, so I dug out my WoundSeal. I explained what it was and offered it to her. I suggested she find a sink in the restroom by the gate as this product creates a terrible stain, and she did. About 5 minutes later, she walked back to the gate with her daughter and told me this was a miracle powder.

This happened often enough that I never went anywhere without it. I keep it in the bathrooms at home, my desk at the office, and in all my cars. SORRY to be so long winded, but I strongly recommend WoundSeal.

How many grams is each vile?

The little package doesn't say how much is in it. My best guess is that each vial contains about 1/2 teaspoon of powder. It says single use on the package, but each vial has a screw-on cap and I've found that I can usually use only about half the amount in the vial for a small wound, then re-cap the vial and use the rest later. I've never had a problem using the remaining amount at a later date - it still works well.

What’s the shelf life?

As far as I can tell it does not have shelf life, but I would imagine keeping it in a sealed container, and cool will help to maintain it's shelf life.  I am trained in emergency medical treatment have used this a number of times and found it to be very effective in stopping bleeding when pressure bandages didn't.
