Awesome!
As far as I am concerned, the best EDC knife you can get! It's simple, tough, the clip is awesome and tough, the knife easy to clean (sandblast it if I have to) and it is simple to adjust the pivot. Good balance of sharpening ease vs. edge retention vs. toughness. Fast one hand deployment and locks solid. As an artist and as a craftsman, I've put this knife through the worst for a few years and it works as good today as when I bought it. The smooth stainless sides can be a little slippery when wet, but I think it's well worth it for the clean-ability and toughness of the knife. [NOTE: this knife is very different from the plastic-sided model, in the way it locks and in the way the clip attaches.] Great knife!!!! EDIT: I want to note that I have carried this knife and used it several times a day for about five years now. This is a thing close to my heart. I attribute most but not all of the beauty of this knife to it's designers. Every once in a while there is just a lucky coming together of design, materials, construction and user, and my relationship with this thing has been just that. This isn't a thing to wow you or instantly feel like the best thing on the planet, this is a tool to merge with and to beat on and then care for and then repeat for many years. Have you ever seen a tool from the stone age, that looks so beautiful and refined and delicate that it doesn't seem possible that anyone ever used it, but at the same time it shows the wear of a lifetime of use? Thats what I think of when I think of how much this thing has been through, how many times I used it to pry something apart or remove staples or used it as a screwdriver or wrenched on the pivot with all my strength or used it as a pipe cutter or a bottle opener or to push stripped screws out of something or as a punch or a hammer, sandblasted it to get resin off of it, used it to cut open bottles of battery acid, and how the thing is so slim and sleek and how I still keep it sharp with ease because it won't chip or break or get dents in the edge too easily. (I have seen lots of spyderco's and kershaw's do just those sort of things.) And still it opens with ease, clicks closed or locks open with no play even after all that. A very lucky little knife, and a lucky man I am to have one. People will like different things, the right hand clip is one potential issue, and who knows what else, but this is just one of my favorite things that makes me happy when I think about it.

EDC perfection
This knife is everything you would want in an EDC. It has enough heft to to feel good in the hand, but light enough to vanish while clipped to your pocket. The blade has an elegant shape and is razor sharp right out of the box. In my opinion, this knife represents a lot of quality for a relatively low price. This is my first CRKT purchase, but will likely not be my last.

Well made, nice and sharp but kinda small
Needed a new knife after losing my EDC found this one for a fair price and a brand that I’ve used before and knew was quality. The blade came extremely sharp. The handle feels sturdy and the locking mechanisms operate smoothly. I am a big fan of the pocket clip. It’s very snug and doesn’t feel like it will fall out of my pocket. It’s also very light weight. I was a bit surprised how small it was when I opened the box though. I’m sure it listed off the dimensions in the description. But in the picture it appeared to be bigger.

E.K.
This is a great knife. The blade is a very usable shape and length. The blade has also remained sharp for daily use for over the last six months and have sharpened it once(I am not a fan of serrated blades). It is easy to clip on your pant pocket on a daily basis and also can be put in your pocket. It opens closes easily right handed but not so much with the left. o.k. I still have this knife and love it. My wife "misplaced" it for a day on vacation and I almost lost my mind. This knife is just a great. I cant tell you how much I like it and how useful it is. Every once in a while I make the mistake and pick out another daily carry knife. That stops quickly and I go right back to old faithful. I purchased this knife June 7 2012 and it is now Feb 11 2014. If I truly lost it I would buy another one in a second. Just thought I would add some Photos..... May 11 2015.. I don't know how CRKT is still in business because I still have this knife and it works like a champ. I sharpen it every so often but really don't need too. I cant believe how well it holds an edge. The locking mechanism is still very sturdy. I use/carry it every day the only thing that is different(could be bad, but I've had it for almost 3 years) ... the thumb assist is loose. Not like crazy it will just spin in place. It is tight and wont come out, it just spins. Yes I would buy another one if I lost it......

Hurts my thumbs
Overall the quality feels nice. It's a nice looking knife too. It's small but that is fine. It's a good size to carry everywhere in your pocket and not be intrusive. But this is my first real folding knife. And I realized after playing with this for a bit that I just don't like some of these features. I really hate the big thumb knobs. It's so odd having this knob on the nice smooth blade. It's about impossible to open with one hand anyway. I still haven't been able to do it. It's just to stiff and it kind of locks in at the last bit. I've been playing with it trying to loosen it but I feel like it would take forever if it ever does. I resorted to using two hands. To be honest I don't get all the knife nutters obsession with one hand open anyway. Like we're going to be in a one handed arena battle every day, or hanging from a cliff with one arm and needing to cut some cheese with the other, or be in some 1950's leather gang that needs to choreograph a one handed knife scene while dancing. I would much prefer about any other way to open than with the knob. I also don't seem to like the body lock style. It doesn't feel natural at all and is very stiff and tough. I feel like I'd prefer about any other method. The clip is very thick and feels quality. But it's also to stiff. It's hard to clip it on something, and when you pull it off it makes a very loud smack noise. The whole room is going to know you pulled your knife out and look over wondering what that is. I might just take it off though so it fits in my pocket smoother and free carry it. I've been playing around with it a bit and my thumbs hurt and the skin is feeling raw already. I guess I see why these knife guys always have beat up fingers and callouses. I do construction so it's not like I have fair skin either. But using this knife just bothers me and I guess these styles are not for me. Or maybe this was a bad one to start off on. I think it's a neat, quality knife, it looks great, and feels nice just holding it, but I can't get over these issues. I'm debating returning it and getting something else and with different styles. More of a traditional folding knife, different locking mechanism and different way to open. With no knob on it, and smooth more natural feeling actions. I'm not a knife guy so if you're an average Joe looking for a decent folding knife maybe this will help you make a decision and maybe go with something more traditional. This is one of the problems with buying on Amazon with things like this, you really need to be able to try it out in person first. I may just spend more and buy a different brand and style.

Good EDC knife ...
Amazon's product description of this knife is incorrect. It actually lists the dimensions of CRKT 6451 Drifter, which is a bigger brother of this knife. If you are OK with smaller knife than described size, this knife is not bad. The blade is actually 2.75 inches, not 3.2 in. The handle is not 4.2 in. but 3.6 inches. Knife is well-made with solid lock up of the frame lock. The blade came decently sharp from the factory using Chinese 8Cr13MoV steel. At about 3 oz, it's pretty light despite frame lock design. Although I think there are better knives at this price point, it's pretty good knife for the price. Good size for EDC use if you like'm small and light.

Awesomed EDC knife
I thought I lost my first one and happily picked up a second. A couple days later I found the original, but this knife is so good I decided just to keep the second as a backup. Love it.

CRKT Drifter framelock is a beautiful knife for EDC.
This is a beautiful, solid, small to mid-sized knife. The blade is well centered, the blade detent just about perfect, and the knife was shaving sharp out of the package. Lockup is solid, no blade play side-to-side and the blade is easy to flick. The titanium nitride coating on the handle does give some traction, certainly not as much as the G10 version which I also have. The weight of the stainless steel handle lends a certain solidity to the knife and it feels good in the hand. The steel handle gives the knife an elegant look and the size doesn’t appear threatening. It looks like what it is, a gentleman’s folder for common EDC tasks at which it performs superbly.
