Can it be worn continuously so i can track A-Fib episodes?

Technically it doesn’t or can’t confirm a A-Fib episode. What it can do is capture your heart rate while it is at a faster rate. But a faster rate doesn’t necessarily mean A-fib, there are other factors that can make your heart rate faster, including anxiety/fear of feeling your heart rate, then causing the increase in rate. Best is to have your Dr do a Halter study, and get on an appropriate anticoagulant if you have A-fib. Do so immediately to prevent throwing a clot as in a stroke. Best Wishes Chris RN P.S. The app is free. But be sure to get the app that is described in the instructions. There is a paid app with a name very similar to the product.

Can it be worn in the shower to monitor the person?

Not recommended by the manufacturer.

I left the device on the charger for 8 hours before using but it will not turn on.

Make sure you are using a larger charger, like the ones to charge smart phones. The small chargers (e.g. Bluetooth headset chargers) are too small to work.
