Q: Why did my entire eye come out instead of just the lens?

Did you pinch the lens or did you squeeze the tube to create a suction? If you squeezed anywhere on the tube it will suction through the holes in the soft lens and grab the eye. Soft lenses come out by pinching them to break the bond between the eye and lens. If you place a soft lens on a finger of your non dominant hand you can practice pinching the base of the wand to help pinch them out. Soft lenses cannot be suctioned out like hard lenses unfortunately due to their composition
