maximum output is 20W per port
Beware, this charger is advertised as 40W, but the fine print says the maximum output is only 20W for each port even if you are only using 1 port. Other 40W chargers will give you 40W from 1 port if the other port is not in use. This charger is kind of large for 40W. The prongs do not fold down, so the charger is 3 inches long including the prongs, making it a little bulky for travel.I do like that the charger supports both PD and PPS fast charging. Samsung and Google smartphones prefer PPS. I also like that the charger feels solidly built and durable, except for the prongs sticking out.I notice that the product description on the website says that this charger is independently ETL certified for electrical safety, however there is no ETL certification printed on the device itself or on the box or any of the product literature. Is it really certified? Many US corporations will not buy any electrical devices unless they are UL or ETL certified, so an easily verifiable certification is important.Note that no cables are included with the charger. Make sure you use good quality cables (rated for USB3 or USB Power Delivery) with any charger that supports higher power levels.3.5 stars. I would give them 5 stars if they increased the power when only one port was in use and if they had a genuine ETL or UL certification printed on the device itself.
