I have dry, reactive skin with a compromised barrier from years of acne treatment in my youth. This stuff saved me. I have tried tons of other barrier repair products. This is the real deal. If your looking to be consistent with barrier repair and have angry, reactive, hive-y skin..buy this. Incorporate with a gentle sub acid non foaming cleanser and a nice thick barrier cream. This is by far my fav real barrier product. Unlike others I am fragrance sensitive and didn't find the super mild scent offensive. Also it doesn't linger. great formulation. Will be rebuying!

Real Barrier extreme lotion is a pleasant lightweight lotion that actually hydrated skin very well. This lotion spreads across the skin easily and is quickly absorbed leaving no greasy or sticky residue behind. This lotion protects skin from environmental pollutants that can damage and pollute the skin. My skin is normally on the dry side and this lotion has helped my skin look and feel smooth and healthy.Feels nice to have healthy looking skin when I’m wearing a dress or shorts, real barrier has helped me achieve that.

I have very sensitive skin, I am glad I didn't have any stinging fleeing when I use it. It not cream but I feel it's ok for dry skin in Summer time.

While there is nothing inherently wrong with the Real Barrier Extreme Lotion, I think the product is a hint overpriced ($30 for a 5oz plastic pump as of this writing) for what you’re getting. The glossy white lotion is lightweight, has excellent spreadability, and provides moderate, average hydration. Not something I would consider heavy, thick, emollient, rich, or super or extreme moisturizer. It isn’t greasy or unpleasant to apply, but I do not like the scent at all.Please see image of ingredient list. Overall, I think the formulation is average (amalgamation of your typical humectants, skin suitable oils, some extracts). But I am disappointed to see and smell the presence of sage oil. Sage? While it isn’t considered an irritant and does have some antioxidant properties, sage is not the thing I want to smell like all day or night after slathering on lotion. The strong, herby scent lingers long after application and makes me think of pasta sauce. I love sage, just not in my skincare. Otherwise, yes. I think the lotion is suitable for all skin types and users, assuming you don’t mind smelling like an earthy herb garden. I didn’t experience any irritation, rash, redness, blemishes, or flares. But it is average in terms of performance and hydration. I can get something equally as good for less, sans the scent. Had this been fragrance free, I would have given it higher marks.

I was interested in trying this lotion largely because of the claim of providing a "deep barrier." I wash my hands a lot and can have some issues from wear on the top layer of skin with cracking and flaking somethings. I figured that this might help, and it did okay, but not as well as some other lotions that I've tried. It is a good multi-purpose body lotion. It absorbs well and you don't have to use too much to hydrate. It isn't greasy and it smells okay. It does seem to provide good hydration for a long time, but not on hands because they get washed a lot. This was best for neck, arms, and legs, but it's not economical for all over the body moisturizing.
