I’m really impressed with the hygger Auto On Off LED Aquarium Light! It’s an incredible upgrade for my 12-18" freshwater planted tank. The light is full spectrum with WRGB lamp beads that simulate natural daylight perfectly. The colors are vibrant, and it really makes my water plants look more alive and lush. It’s amazing how the light brings out the true colors of my plants, making them pop in a way that I never expected.The programmable features are awesome, especially the 24/7 lighting cycle. I love that I can set the light to automatically adjust throughout the day, simulating natural light patterns. The night mode is a nice touch too—setting the light to a softer color like red or blue for the evening is perfect for creating a calm atmosphere. The LCD monitor on the controller is super convenient; I can easily see the current time, brightness, and settings at a glance, and it makes programming a breeze.As for build quality, this light is solid! The IP68 waterproof rating gives me confidence that it’s safe from water splashes, and I don’t have to worry about humidity affecting it. The aluminum shell is also great for heat dissipation, and I’ve noticed no overheating even after long hours of use.This light comes with everything you need, including adjustable metal brackets for easy mounting and a handy user manual. I am completely satisfied with this light, although there are a few things that could be better.pros:1 qualitatively made2 good spectrum of light3 wide functionality, with programming to meet your needs4 built-in timer5 the plants are thrivingand cons:1 could be a little brighter for this size2 every time it is turned off, you need to reprogram the timer, which is not easy at all3 the mount could be higher... it's too close to the surface for me.I don't regret that I bought this light, because the plants grow like crazy from it, you can see it in the future I would consider buying the light and timer separately, in case of a power outage this set would work more reliably

This light fixture puts out plenty of light for my 5 gallon planted aquarium. I like that it is programmable, fairly easy to setup, and sits nicely on top is the aquarium over the flat, glass cover. The fixture is sturdy and seems well built.I removed 1 star because the controller is not easy to use. Tweaking the settings is a bit of an ordeal. The buttons are difficult to push and must be held in to select a function. This sounds so much easier than it is. It takes several frustrating tries cycling through the options to get to the one to update.The light does not evenly light my aquarium. For my 5 gallon tank, the light doesn't extend across the entire width of the tank leaving the edges darker than the center.Overall, I like this light. It functions reasonably well for a budget light. Once it is set up and adjusted it works well without and additional interaction from me. My plants are growing well and the aquarium looks great.

Very impressed! Easy setup love the light modes and timer. Plants in tank instantly loved it. Recommend for anyone looking for a light!

The media could not be loaded. 1/9/23 - Edit for correction and update: Personalized programming does not erase if power goes out, but the clock does go to midnight upon power restore and does need to be reset to return to correct schedule. One con though is the buttons for programming are difficult to get to work. Maybe it’s specific to my unit, and also because I have arthritis, but it makes programming kind of annoying.Original review: This light fits perfectly in my 5 Gal Betta tank. The first one I ordered came with a weird oil-like coating so I returned and replaced with this one. There was still some of that coating on it, but it was left so I wiped it off because I really needed a light for my tank. I picked this model because I wanted the 24 hour timer function with the sunrise to sunset feature with gradual on and off to not scare the Betta and because the timer can be customized. I haven’t tried customizing the timer yet, and probably won’t until I get a backup battery because the one con for this light is that it resets if the power goes out which means the light cycle starts over at whatever time the power comes on as if it were midnight and whatever programming you had disappears. The display is also easier to use than the other models.

Im using this for my 20 gal long tank. Everybody raves about this light lol so I got it followed the instructions but man is configuring it hard lol I've tried to do it so many times now yet it still turns on in the middle of the night ?? I end up just manually plugging it in each morning and unplugging it when I don't want the tank to get to much light. So I probably could've gotten a cheaper light if I was going to have to manually unplug it and plug it back in all the time. Other than that its very bright, it does its job, I like the options of the different colors even though I don't use it. I also like the adjustability of the light so you could probably use it on a longer tank. I also like how I can dim the light. Other than that the light itself feels like there's a lot of plastic which I didn't think there would be so much plastic I thought it would be a little bit better in quality but it's a light for fish so It's not the end of the world.

I was really happy when I got my light! It has easy settings, is bright, sleek, and overall great for the price. I have only had it for 1 week at this point, but I am genuinely happy with how it helps my tank!

Light looked great when I first got it. At about 8-9 month, certain colors in the light went out and I couldn’t obtain the colors I had originally. It then completely stopped working at about the 10 month mark. Disappointing. I can’t afford to spend $60 on a new light every year.
