Compact and works well
I like this little camp stove when out camping. It's fairly lightweight and durable. The canvas carrying case is very strong and durable as well. It is small, but you can cook about two chicken thighs or two burgers at one time. If there is a fire pit in my campsite, I will put this inside the pit. That way when I am done using it, I can just dump out the coals into the firepit and start my evening campfire.

AMAZING! Lil heavy tho.
The media could not be loaded. This product is absolutely fabulous, even though I burned my bloody hand cuz I tipped one of the handles into live coals and didnt notice. Beastly little bugger gets wicked hot with very little effort. Per DNR in Iowa this meets the criteria to utilize outdoors anywhere as long as the fire is contained in the manufactured container and poses no fire risk, he was super hot so Im glad the whiney Karen complained about my cooking... at a CREEK. (Not the video in the review)I highly recommend to any nature lover that needs a decent stove while theyre out. Its collapsible, its design burns hot as hell so you dont needs as much fuel and it doesnt produce as much smoke. The pot holder top has claws on hinges to accomodate small or large pots or pans and was SO worth the extra couple dollars to have.It IS a bit heavier than I expected but for us that hike seriously, the weight isnt too bad.Cools off very quick when youre finished... only downside i can think of is the ring for the door hinge is too small... i had to design my own tool to open and close it. Which, you dont need to very often except to stoke or stir as its by far easier to slide the pan over and toss some sticks in the top.Again... I FREAKING LOVE THIS STOVE!even the sexy DNR dude was amazed by it.

THE TRAY GOES IN THE SIDE!
Some reviewers are still trashing this because they say the ash tray doesn't fit. Yes it does- it goes in the SIDE (either side). The seller should include a little note to that effect in the package.(This review is for the large size.)Pros:+ All stainless steel (It is stated to be 304 stainless, which is non-magnetic, but a magnet sticks to it, meaning it has a higher iron content than 304 and may rust)+ Two sizes and grill, potholder or both available as options+ Folds into a compact size+ Comes with a nice zip up carrying bag with handles+ Easy to set up and break down (30 seconds at most- the hardest part is getting it out of the bag)+ Versatile: you can use wood sticks, charcoal, other flammables+ Can be used as a stove, grill, or fire pit+ Seller thankfully now removes the plastic film prior to shippingCons:- Relatively heavy for a portable stove, so not the best for backpacking. (I think it's a plus, though, if you're car camping or using it at home)- Some edges were left very sharp in the manufacturing process- Ash tray is flat with no sides - needs a baking pan, firepit, or other ash catcher under it- Metal ring to open side door doesn't stay where you can easily grab it when hot - flops back down against side of stove- The potholder does not fit with the rest of the stove in the carrying bagMy particular unit came with a slightly warped grill with one of the welds broken. In addition, I spent an hour or two filing and sanding the very sharp edges. Some of the outer edges are turned down but others where pieces were cut out are very sharp. I recommend taking the time to carefully file them down- leather gloves recommended. Other mods: I added an aluminum spacer to the door handle ring to give it more resistance so it will stand out from the side and make it easier to grab (see con above). I put a bit of high temp grease on the door hinges since the door was difficult to open and close without holding the stove in place. I also cut a piece of welded stainless steel 1/4 inch mesh to fit the bottom so that I can burn wood pellets. The large stove just fits in some 9x9 cake pans, which helps catch the ash and makes dumping it easier.

Cool Little Stove
I have recently been wanting to go camping again. I haven’t been in so long that I did not have any gear which created two issues: 1. Starting at scratch 2. getting to try lots of new things! This was one of those little guilty pleasures. I had to ask myself a question: would I like to have a portable firebox I can use anywhere? Answer: YES.First of all, this stove has some weight to it. It is made out of stainless steel. Which means if you’re an ultralight hiker with an ideal pack weight, go ahead and see yourself out of this review. If you don’t care about weight and want to have a fun way to cook; keep reading.Second, this little firebox is well built. I do not have any suspicion of this thing breaking anytime soon.Third, grate turned red hot during the process. I’m not sure if that was intended, but it was alarming (see pictures). I ran some tests to check integrity and it seems even though the grate gets red hot, it will not bend too severely. If this sound concerning, I would suggest purchasing the grill option instead.Summary:Functional, although a bit heavy, firebox that can support some heavier cooking vessels. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Nice, Sturdy Wood Stove. Recommended!
That's my 2nd time breaking it in, in that photo. It cooks great, and holds heat nicely. The only thing I would RECOMMEND DOING IMMEDIATELY before use, place in a conventional oven at about 500 for 10 or 15 minutes. Then apply some kind of oil (I used olive oil) to the whole thing, and place it back in the oven at 500 for another 10 or 15 minutes. To keep it from rusting, since it it steel it will rust if not cleaned and treated properly. Other than that, which isnt a downside that's just how metal works, it's a nice stove.

Great rocket stove Very easy set up
Haven’t used it but set it up and it was sturdy and easy to set up and take down. Big enough to cook on or boil water.

It’s heavy and fussy as to the size of it’s fuel!
A little heavy but well worth the price. Mind the hinge pins and make damn sure it’s cold before packing away. It goes well with my Kelly Kettel. Should last a long time makes me happy!
