Large enough to be useful. Satisfactory magnification. Easy to hold. Good value. Recommended.

This is the nicest little magnifier. I've bought several of them now. Either I'm getting older (nah!) or the print on medicine bottles is getting smaller, but I keep one in the bathroom so I can read the darn instructions. It's glass, so it's easy to clean and doesn't get scratched easily. I have these little rascals sprinkled all over the house.

This is a very nice magnifying glass. Easy to hold, looks good, and is very clear. The images aren't 10x as large, but I have tried several other magnifying glasses and none of them seem to make things as large as one might expect. For closer detail I use gemstone/jeweler's loupes. Still, it is very handy and looks very attractive.

My rating is completely based on our needs which was a magnifying glass to go with my wife's Velma costume. This worked perfectly. Is it cheaply made? Sure. Is it also cheap to buy? yes. Put those together and everything is as expected. Does it make a great magnifying glass? I'd say it works well enough, though that wasn't what we needed it for. We've used it a couple times to read some very small print and were able to gain the benefit of magnifying the text. it also burns leaves well enough :).

Before I got this, I read reviews and some people complaining about the “cheap look” of this magnifying glass. I don’t know what the expected for this price, but I was pleasantly surprised that did not look cheap. I keep it by my shrimp tank so I can see the little shrimpy’s. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, it’s a great price, and it works fine. I don’t know what the fuss is about… If you don’t want to pay a lot for magnifying glass get this one but no it’s not real wood or real metal for that matter. But it’s nice for the price.

This is not like the previous item I purchased from a different supplier that looks exactly the same. This one has a plastic not wood handle and the magnifier seems to be plastic, not glass. It feels much lighter in the hand. I may return it and order from the previous supplier. That one cost around and $8 and this one I purchased was $6.50. It does seem to magnify things fine.

I hate to admit it, but for those of us older folks who find our reading glasses are no longer sufficient, this item has become a true help. As I spent much of my career staring at a computer screen, and still do to a large degree, I find my vision is simply not as sharp as it used to be. I moved to reading glasses 6 or 7 years ago as a solution and that got me by. However, I now find that the printed word in a book or an advertisement sometimes requires some additional resource to read comfortably. Truly, the fine print has become too fine. But this magnifying glass has helped out on more than one occasion. I like its slightly oversized lens producing a 10x magnification that provides enough width and height to allow reading more than just a word or two. Its mahogany handle is comfortable and easy to hold and the bag that accompanies it for storing prevents scratching. For a quick go-to product that helps solve minor issues with reading, this is highly recommended.

Entirely perfect for my needs. Ideal lens size, very handsome antique look and has a nice heft to it about (the weight of a DVD remote control), that gives the impression of a much more expensive piece. Looks great in the leather cup on my desk. Contrary to one reviewer, this DOES have a metal frame and the last thing I would call this, is "cheap" looking. The handle is made of a heavy grade plastic and mine has an elegant rosewood design that looks great with the gold-tone metal frame. Any truthful buyer would not be disappointed with this purchase.

Bought my husband a 3000 pce puzzle and this magnifier to go with it (he's going to need it). I was pleasantly surprised that something seemingly so simple was actually so impressive. It's beautiful and looks quite chic - as far as magnifiers go! It's solid with a clean construction. There were several wows when he opened it as yes, it's that bougie. He's happy, so I'm happy!
