TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap, Headache Ice Pack for Tension Headache Relief

I’ve always used ice packs for severe migraines, but I was skeptical about these caps. This one made a believer out of me! I’m telling you- GET IT if you suffer from migraines. I keep it in the freezer (double bagged in freezer bags so it does not absorb freezer smells). The cold is initially so intense that it’s painful- but it does become more tolerable after a couple minutes. You can leave it out for about 5 minutes first if needed. The cold LASTS too. It’s worth every penny. I only wish I’d found it sooner.

I wanted to write a review to spare the next buyer from ruining their migraine hat like I did.The hat has a smooth sleek fabric texture, a comfortable gel filling, and a slight snugness around the head when worn (that I found really enjoyable). It blocked out light well. When stored in the freezer and then placed on the head it was extremely cold. Even at room temperature it always feels a little cool to the touch, which I enjoyed. I slept like a baby with it on.Two important things: 1. If you're going to put it in a fridge or freezer make sure it is in a sealed bag. 2. It cannot be washed (other than spot treatment). The manufacturer does disclose this information, so I did not deduct rating points for this.I made the mistake of putting my hat in the freezer without a bag and even though my freezer is fairly clean every odor in the freezer leeched into the hat. It stinks. I tried to wear it anyways and the weird stale freezer smell then got onto my sheets as I napped on them. It was at this time I realized the hat is advertised as only being wipe-clean. You are not supposed to submerge it. I wiped it and the smell remained, so I then decided to risk hand-washing it in a wash basin. The hat seemed to be in good condition afterwards, but the smell remained. At this point I decided that the smell was too unbearable and distracting so I had nothing to lose by putting it in the washing machine (with cold water). The washing machine made the fabric lose it's tightness and made the gel filling become lumpy. And if that's not enough, I can still somehow smell the faintest note of the freezer. I'm not sure that it'll be usable in its current condition, but I will try.I liked the product in theory. It was very comfortable and it did help with headaches. For my own preferences though I would have preferred a product that was more durable and washable, especially something that's being placed against your skin that might collect oils, makeup remnants, and other dirt over time that you'd want to wash off.

This is probably my third one because people keep taking them!This is perfect for anyone who gets migraines or headaches. When you feel like crap- you will try anything. Will you look silly? Sure. Do you care? No.It stays flexible- reminds me a bit like a thin wetsuit like material and is meant to be tight. Never leaks, and stays cool a very long time. Freezer was too cold but refrigerator was perfect. Put this on, lay down, and wake up feeling much better! Everyone who tries this often wants it- which is why I have bought several!

Easy to use, helpful, but wish it stayed cool longer once it’s taken out and being used on the head. By the time the temp is bearable to wear, you get a good 10 minutes or so wearing it,

This is by far the best thing that has helped me with migraines, i have been getting terrible, terrible migraines for YEARS and no amount of medicine or anything has ever helped. A friend recommended this product and i kid you not i have never slept more peacefully. I am a hot sleeper, especially when k get migraines, its like heat x10, but i put this in the freezer (in the bag as instructed) and when i took it out it was freezing, which was perfect for me. I put it on, layed down, and put i was. I usually struggle so much due to heat, light, and noise, but this blocked all that. It slightly muffled any noises around me, completely blacked my vision, and cooled me down as well. I can not recommend this product enough, whoever created this, you’re a genius.

This cap is pure magic. I leave one in my freezer at all times. The relief is immediate as everything in my head just slows down. It's as every nerve ending gets a chill pill - incredibly helpful during a migraine. I find this lasts for about 30-45 minutes, so I ended up getting a 2nd one for bad migraine days.While I can put it on my head immediately because of the neoprene sleeve, I don't recommend it. Start slow. putting it over the eye before that part of the mask has a chance to stabilize with the room temperature is uncomfortable for the delicate area. Also, going to extremes has spiked my migraine feeling for the short term, so slowly slipping it on ended up feeling so much better.the mask covers the entire crown of the head, eyes, and down to the base of the skull. I have a larger sized head, and this does not squeeze my head uncomfortably. It balances compression with squeezing.

I have the original one in pink and i also have the pro now. I absolutely love them both but i will say the pro is definitely worth the extra money. The other one the gel pads can move around but the pro they stay in place and has more of a 360° coverage where the other has nothing but fabric on sides by ears. I am definitely going to order another pro. I suffer from severe migraines and this helps so much between the blackout effect when pulling over face, the coldness of it and the compression. Stretchy and easy to use. I even took them to Florida with me on vacation. Sometimes i even put it on when im having trouble falling asleep and it helps soothe my head to help me relax and fall asleep. I love having 2 of them now cause when one is no longer cold i can get the other.

Holds cold for about 30 minutes which is twice as long as most of the alternatives. Comfortable and doesn’t freeze your ears. I keep it in the freezer at all times for emergencies and it is a wonderful instant relief. Only complaint is the slight chemical odor.
