Directions 1. Dissolve the chelated iron EDTA in water. 2. Apply the solution to the plants, make sure that the leaves and roots are reached. 3. Repeat applications as needed, depending on the reaction of the plant and the severity of iron deficiency. Review: Saved Iron Deficient Plants in Aquaponics System - Saved Iron Deficient Plants in Aquaponics System This chelated iron EDTA completely reversed iron deficiency in my 300 gallon aquaponic setup. My lettuce and basil leaves were showing severe interveinal chlorosis with yellowing between the veins. Within 10 days of treatment, new growth came in deep green and healthy. Dissolved 2 tablespoons in 5 gallons of water and added directly to my fish tank sump. The 13% iron concentration is strong enough that you only need small amounts. One pound treats my system for 4 to 5 months with monthly maintenance doses. 100% water solubility is critical for aquaponics. No sediment or cloudiness, dissolves completely in under 2 minutes with stirring. Safe for tilapia at recommended dosages with no fish stress observed across 6 treatment cycles. Compared to Southern Ag chelated iron I used previously, Greenway Biotech dissolves faster and costs about 30% less per pound. The resealable bag keeps powder dry between uses, unlike the paper packaging my old brand came in. Package arrived well sealed with no moisture damage. Measured actual weight at 1.02 pounds, so count is accurate. Works in both aquaponics and hydroponics, pH range up to 7.0 according to specs which matches my system at 6.8 pH. Review: Effective Iron - Real product for intended use/purpose.

I could tell my plants liked it
I didnโt learn how to use it regularly so I canโt speak for it that way, but I used this a couple times because of circumstances being variable. But it seemed when I used it I could see a distinct improvement in the growth and color and health of my vegetable garden plants and also my nectarine tree! So I watched what I would use it on again the following year and again I could see a distinct improvement which makes me interested to know how my plants would be even more or not improved in health if I learned the regular use of this product.

My potted citrus love it
I have 9 orange trees potted up in my greenhouse in western Oregon. I have had a lot of trouble with leaves yellowing and dropping. The plants barely had any leaves by the end of last winter. I fed them this iron supplement all summer and they now all have lots of large, deep green leaves.
