High quality item
I got this cane/seat for my 83 year old friend for Christmas. He is still quite active for his age and "jogs" 2 miles every morning. Sometimes he's not so steady half way into the jog ... and was getting winded or light headed. Being stubborn as he is (I told him maybe a walk and not jog is better at this point) but he still wants to get out there. Anyway he loves that he can sit down down when he feels like he needs to. And the cane is still light weight enough that he can jog with it in hand! He has also used it while waiting in very long lines and brings it with him on outings where there might be a lot of walking involved. It's pretty sturdy and can open and close easily. It was a little stiff and hard to open and close when he first got it but after loosening it up after a few times its pretty smooth now. I like that it has adjustable legs to accommodate for a taller person to sit on comfortably. The only thing that I don't care for is that you have to sit on it "backwards" with the seat in between your legs in order to stay stable. An older lady friend of mine who could benefit from using this refuses because she wears skirts or dresses all of the time and feels its "unladylike" to be sitting there (getting on and off of it) with your legs spread open (I get that). Overall its a good value for the money and made well.

Sturdy but built for those less than 5'10”
Sturdy! l bought their heart shaped seat one 3 months ago. It cost more and was hard on my knees as l had to squat at 5’6”. This one with the oval shaped seat with raised bumps and a slip proof handle is taller at max height. Maybe a couple of inches. It has 3 hole height adjustments. If your knees are good l would say max height six feet with squatting. lt was the highest quality rated and l would say it is quality. I did change the foot to a much wider one however it will not stand up requiring me to lean it against something. If you are taller than 5'8" find another if you cannot squat.

Perfect For Our Recent Baltic Sea Cruise
Worked really well for our recent 12 day Carnival Pride Baltic Sea Cruise. My wife doesn't really need a cane, but she does get shaky legs if standing still for a long period of time. So as a temporary seat in certain conditions - this was perfect. My wife is 68 yrs, 5'7", and @ 150#. On our recent cruise, she used it both in the airport as well as on the various tours we went on. It really worked well in these situations. This is not a device that you can abuse with careless use. Some reviewers can't seem to figure that out. My wife would probably be included in that group but I cautioned to use it with care and caution and it worked flawlessly. This is not a Lazy Boy Recliner that you can just plop down in to. You need to set the chair up WITH CARE (on even surfaces) and then GENTLY SIT DOWN on the seat in the recommended position. Do this and I think you will be happy with your purchase. My wife had no problem even using it on cobblestone streets/sidewalks. She was just careful (there's that word again) to make sure the feet of the cane made solid (even) contact on the uneven stones, and then she sat down gently on the seat. Because she really doesn't need it as a cane for walking, most of the time, she would tuck the handle under her arm and carry it by wrapping her fingers under the seat. I don't really think that this is an item that will fit in most suitcases, so it will be an item you will have to carry, and on airplanes, it must be stowed in the overhead bins. We had no problems in that regard. We had no problems with the rubber feet coming off accidentally, but I did make a habit of checking them routinely. As one reviewer did mention, there is a problem with the flashlight feature. On our first visit to the airport, the front of the light (where the bulb is) came shooting out onto the airport floor. This is due to the rather long and stiff spring that the batteries push up against. So I just put the 2 AA batteries in our bag and pushed the light and spring back into the handle. Will probably just add a little adhesive to the barrel of the light assembly to fix that part into place. The batteries can still be replaced from the back with no problems. This device IS NOT FOR A HUGE PERSON. No matter what the description says about weight bearing capacity. If your a big person - well then - you have a big butt and this little seat is just not for you. I'm 6'3" and 300 pounds and my fanny will never be used to stress test my wife's cane seat. So be realistic about what this cane & seat can do and you will be happy. One other important piece of advice. Memorize the name of the manufacturer because people are going to be interested in this when they see you with it. I didn't - and all I could do numerous times is tell them it starts with a "Y" and to do a search on Amazon for a "cane with seat"

Light weight and easy to move
Great for use around the house, when I need to sit down and do a task at the same time. However, it does not do well on grass; it sinks in and breaks the rubber pad.

Exactly what I was looking for! Update
I'm a really big girl with a very bad knee and back. I hate riding around in those stupid carts at the store, especially when I really need to be up and walking. Standing still has been a real problem. I have really long legs, so I set all these legs set up on the longest setting. The cane is still very stable, and the seat is high enough to get on and off the seat without pain, about 18.5" high when open. I bought this cane to take to a concert. WOW, what a game-changer for me! We had a stand-only VIP private acoustic off-site concert, and I was able to sit when I needed to while waiting to get in, and again sitting down in front! Later, at the main venue, we had to stand around in line and wait for a ride coming in and going out. It holds all of my weight no problem. I also used it to get up and down all night when stupid disruptive drunk ladies kept going in and out of our row. I was able to easily, as big as I am, get up and down, using this cane. I took it shopping with husband to buy clothes for his trip. When I needed to get off my feet, easy peasy. I purposely selected the smaller seat to make it less wide and more portable, but it holds my largest heaviest parts without discomfort. It is easy and steady to walk with over distances. Thank you for making a sturdy, usable, affordable product that greatly helps me to stay mobile! Update: I weigh less than what I did when I bought it. It snapped and I fell. See picture. I’m okay but this should be rated a much lower weight!

la silla es solida (aluminio), liviana, aunque el asiento de plástico me da desconfianza pero soportó mi peso (115 kg)

You should first know before you buy it, it’s heavy when you carry it, especially if you’re an elderly person or someone with medical conditions or special needs
