Works great and is a great invention

When I first tried to use this I let the chick "fall" to crack the egg. It didn't work very well. Then I gave it some pressure and whacked the egg with it. It's perfect every time. I bought more and amgiving them as gifts.

I’ve been using these now for about five months I lift the weigh to the top and let it drop twice and it cuts the top of the egg perfectly… I was considering purchasing a very expensive German made one and I’m very glad they purchased this one because it works perfectly there’s no reason to purchase the over priced German-made one.

It takes about 6 times to get the egg opened. The ball on the end unscrews easily and ends up bouncing off. It’s easier to just use a spoon to crack the egg open

This is a perfect companion for the EggFacto egg cooker for microwaves product that I bought at the same time. This tool allows gravity to crack the top of boiled eggs for you. It takes only a couple of seconds to use. It’s an old-school device that cannot be broken. If your eggs have been steam-cooked, the shells will come off in one or two pieces. No more struggling to peel off eggshells in tiny fragments. I just love it. If you are a boiled egg lover, it will save you both time and aggravation.

The weight does not detach a top circle, but shatters the egg making a mess. Simply does not work as well as the simpler soft boiled egg scissors, which work every time.

This is a very high quality product (something not always found in products originating from China). However, because the product DOES come from China, the instructions for use of the product are sparse at best. It required a bit of experimentation to finally get clean scoring of the shell on a consistent basis (I believe it took me close to a dozen eggs before I started getting a clean and consistent cut on the egg shell). Once operation of the tool is mastered, it provides a clean cut each and every time that it is used.

This is the best tool I have in my kitchen. Apparently, major thought and engineering went into creating the traditional eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher, and it shows. It puts all other “good ideas” for the kitchen, or any other invention, to shame. If you like to eat soft boiled eggs, what are you waiting for? Now I just have to ask a German friend how to pronounce it.
