nice tires
Okay, I have 500 miles on these tires so here is my review. This is my first pair of Continental tires. I've ridden Michelin tires for years (Michelin Pro Race and Power Endurance). I was looking at the Grand Prix 5000 and the ones I bought the Grand Prix 4 Season. I've always ridden year around (Idaho), so the additional durability and traction sounded appealing. Although I have 500 miles on these tires, they look just like new out of the box. My Michelin tires by now would show some wear, probably small cuts, these 4 Seasons show nothing. They don't roll like my Michelin tire but I didn't expect them to, with that said, they roll fine, but not like a race tire. They definitely have more grip, which I expected from a 4 Season tire, and I don't worry about a flat with these tires, the rubber is noticeably stronger.Update: I have 1500+ miles on the tires now with minimal wear. I just bought another pair. I'm not taking any chance that the Black Edition might be limited.

Great all-around tire
These tires are great. I upgraded from the stock tires on my Domane and immediately notice a difference in terms of feel and rolling resistance. I ride on some roads with a decent amount of debris and the tires are holding up perfectly so far. They roll very good (tho the 4000/5000 would probably roll better) and have great puncture resistance (which is why I picked these over the 4000/5000). Super happy with this purchase. Also really love that these are the "black edition" and are all blacked out. Look great on my bike.

Made out of tissue paper?
I ran Gatorskins for years without puncture issues, and decided to step up on my newer bike to add a bit of speed. The GPs were attractive because they claimed to have similar durability, with less weight, better grip, and less resistance. These do feel a lot faster, and the grip is fine -- never had any worries in wet conditions. However, the puncture resistance is terrible. I've gone through 3 GPs, all succumbing to glass tears in under 250 miles. In comparison, I rode some Vittorias for about 1500 miles before punctures, and I have a pair of Gatorskins on a commuter that I have gotten over 2k miles on with not punctures thus far.If you have an unlimited tire budget, and love changing them, than these are good for you. However, if you want any modicum of durability I would look elsewhere.

Flat spot after only a few months.
Until this last ride I had no complaints. I purchased this tire in late May and have maybe put 2000 miles on it. It is all on road cycling. I have never experienced any flats with these tires. I like them so much I bought a set for my Trek FX3. I have ridden further with less expensive and lower quality tires, so I would guess this wear is not the norm. I would like to get another tire but I cant see myself throwing another $60 , if this is what happens in such a short of using them. Hell, the front tire looks brand new.

Great Tires!
Update: Went for a quick 30mi ride through the rough NYC roads and found that these tires rolled smoothly and quietly. As of now I have no problems with these tires and I am happy w my purchase.Original: I can't speak for the ride yet as I just mounted these on my Wheelset tonight. I do want to say that they are pretty aesthetically pleasing vs the WTB Thickslicks I had on my old wheelset. I also wanted to be able to add a pic of them aside from the worn ones posted by another reviewer. I will be sure to update this post when I have had a chance to ride them.

FFFFAAST & durable
Rode some gatorskins down to the weave in about half the time it takes on Grand Prix 4 seasons. I've ridden through blizzards, rain, mild hail one time, GP 4 seasons are planted & keep you moving. Not impossible to puncture, but you won't pucker much when you realize you're riding over glass compared to the other tires.

Highly durable rubber compound
I replaced the rear tire on my wife’s Specialized road bike due to side wall damage caused by debris in the tire. So far the rear Continental tire has performed exceptionally well. We ride on city streets and sidewalks. During a recent ride my wife had me check her front tire due to debris noise. Sure enough, the original tire was imbedded with fragments of stone, shell or glass. The Continental tire in the rear was absolutely clean. I then checked my two Continentals on our second bike and both of these Continentals were clean. The motto, pay a little more, ride a little longer on the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season. I am going to replace my wife’s front tire in the near future.

Light, fast, and super easy to install
I have only ridden one city ride with this tire so far with only the rear tire replaced so I will update later. I relaxed old, Bontrager R1 wire bead tires with this one. I liked the feel of the bad so much that I immediately ordered one for the front. It is pretty light, the black looks phenomenal, feels much faster than a stock tire, and was super easy to install. I got it installed without the use of tools at a leisurely pace in 10 minutes, including cleaning the wheel and everything.

grips well,
Grips well and due to the stud positon you don't get a rattle when you are on roads, you need to lower your tire pressure slightly when it is really icy so the studs can grip.

Great but do check them over! Unlike me!
Normally great tyres but one was blown. Not heard back from continental. But the other is great.

Tires that make for a happy HIPPO
This is a review of the Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Black Edition Road Bike Tire 700 X 32. The good: 1.) Appears well made; 2.) Tire compound feels a bit "grippy"; 3.) Tread pattern not slick like a road tire, but not close to knobby; 4.) Mounted with no difficulty; 5.) HIPPO appreciates Continental's effort at minimalist packaging. The bad: 1.) No reflective sidewall strip in this version and 2.) Price- at the high end of reasonable. The unknown: Can't say much about durability or puncture resistance as HIPPO has only had these tires for a few hundred kilometers.HIPPO recommends these tires. The combination of grippy tire compound and a bit of tread pattern without greatly adversely affecting rolling resistance is exactly what HIPPO was looking for. HIPPO rides a cyclocross bike. He can keep up with his road bike pals on slicks and still navigate damp, slippery metal bridges (which are part of his regular morning ride) without falling. This makes him a happy HIPPO!

Fantastic Tire
I upgraded from a 700 x 28 to a 700 x30 to give a little more cushion on our potholed streets. I only have about 300 km on these tires but so far I am very pleased. The tires are smooth running with low rolling resistance yet great feel. Not sure about the four season rating maybe in a southern climate where you do not see snow or ice but I am hoping these tires will provide a little more traction in early spring and late fall when the road conditions are not ideal. In the winter I will stick with my studded 27.5 x 3.00's.

Fast, durable and excellent traction
This is a killer tire and they're only $57 for the 28c right now. They roll fast, great traction on wet surfaces and it took over 8000km of riding on city roads before I finally got a puncture. These are a great hybrid between something durable like Gatorskins and something faster like the GP 5000. They make the perfect winter tire and you'll get season after season of use.The only negative is these are tough to install, not as bad as Gatorskin but you'll need two high quality tire levers and lots of patience. The good news is you'll never need to take them off since they shrug off road debris like it's nothing.
