Great for our home built BBQ island
I bought this as a unit to install in a home-built BBQ island. I built the island out of wood / stucco, and so bought a liner tray that this unit fits into. Before buying I consulted the Bull website to obtain proper dimensions. Their documentation for this was easy to secure, read and understand, and turned out to be accurate. So planning the island was pretty straight-forward given their documentation. I also purchased their warming tray, a set of drawers, and a propane drawer. I found all the components to be of solid, quality build and easy to install into the island. It really looks wonderful. I've now been able to use the BBQ for a few dinners, and am impressed with the level of heat control I have with this. This unit replaced a stand-alone BBQ unit I had used for several years that I probably bought at one of the big box stores. The difference in quality and usability is like night and day. I'm very happy with this unit.

Just get it
I have been a grill master for over 30 years now. When building the outdoor kitchen I wanted a unit that was high quality materials. This unit hits the mark. Thick stainless steel everywhere. Thick heavy duty stainless grates. It looks great and grill well. Now the cooking. It has some hot spots but they are fairly light. The burners are hard to keep low. They can be adjusted. I installed a controllable valve at the tank to make adjusting the heat more precise. Outside of these small shortfalls it a great grill. Do not hesitate to purchase if you need a serious outdoor grill.

Great BBQ
While some have complained about uneven cooking and "hot spots", I have not found this to be true. I was worried I would have a "learning curve" and ruin some good cuts of meat, but that never happened. Hood temperature gauge is not all that accurate and really more of a indication of whether things are "hot" or "cold" in the barbeque, but that is enough to go by for me. Indirect cooking of chicken and brawts was easy enough, and high direct heat for things like carne asada has worked very well. This is a huge step up in equipment from the big box store BBQs. 5 times as expensive, but I suspect that it is the last BBQ I will buy. Very happy with product.

Great Replacement BBQ!!!
I replaced my old Angus Bull BBQ with this one, just about the same in size and performance, just no Spit, I didn't need that. I had a guy install it for me for $80 bucks. It smells a little bit when you first fire it up to burn everything off that is not supposed to be there, but that goes away. I used to have to turn the burners all the way on high just to get them to cook the food and it too a long time as well. Now, I have to really watch what level I use. I am sure that I will be using less propane now and the cooking is much better, very efficient. Love it, perfect!

Good entry level into the high end grills.
Been using this grill for a few months now. Being a Florida resident, we grill outside 2-3 days/week. This grill holds the heat well and disassembles for cleaning very easily. It's probably the low end of the high end grills but beats Weber by a long shot. Worth the money if you grill often.

Annoying noise
Nice heavy duty grill. My complaint is that I have to restart the grill several times as it starts to sound like a jet engine.

Great heat retention, ignition is reliable, and easy installation with liner

Does Not Have Even Heat Across Surface
We bought this grill to put in a custom island we were building. The installation was a breeze and the parts are all of great quality and it is solidly built. The big problem is the uneven cooking surface. Using and infrared thermometer and measuring the temperature of the grate from front to back is a temperature difference of 200 -300 degrees. This is completely unacceptable. Temperature can be 800 in the back and on the front 520. It is hard to cook anything evenly on this thing, loading up the grill with hamburgers, forget it, it was too hard to keep track of what goes on first and what cooks faster. Same with chicken. Larger cuts of meat are cooked more on one side than the other. I worked with customer service to remedy and nothing worked. New regulator, new burners adjusting the air flow to burners. Nothing. One of the burners also makes a loud noise. Replacing burner did work for a while but noise is back again. I would really like to throw the thing away. In this day and age with technology the way it is there is no reason to have such a temperature difference. The problem is the concrete counter tops were built for this grill and I haven’t bothered to see if there is another brand with exact size for replacement. If I spend money on some good meat I take the time to get out the old Weber kettle grill. It always is reliable and I can adjust to cook the way I want it to. This grill is only good to me for cooking a a few small items where I can cook them on the same side of the grill. We installed a flat top grill in another part of the island, and we get way more use out of it. Probably cook on it 10 times for every one time on the Bull. The cooking surface on flat top is about the same size and the infrared thermometer on the flat top is very even all the way around. Beware that if you want an even cooking surface this is not the grill for you.
