Worked great with our Heatilator unit
worked great in our heatilator, gas fireplace. Easy install with the included instructions. Is much quieter than the one it replaced. Having the internal fan makes the fireplace much more useful on cold, winter evenings.

Works like a charm !
Highly recommend. A local fireplace vendor told me it would be $350 to replace a dead fan. Bought this for less than $50 and watched a YouTube video. Installed it in less than an hour. Winner-winner chicken dinner !

Strong, but louder than the one we had
Our fireplace blower started screaming like a person getting tortured. Yes, it got really loud and it was annoying. I purchased this because the price was lower compared to other fireplace blowers in Amazon. I’m guessing the lower price had to do with the fact that this didn’t include the wiring needed to plug into an outlet. It wasn’t a problem for me since I just used our old fireplace blower’s electrical plug connector. I also had to use the diverter from our old fireplace blower because this one didn’t have it and the air would just blow out from the bottom vent and it would be dusty and not hot air. Basically, the diverter piece would just keep the air blowing out on the back end of the fireplace where hot air circulates and it would then blow out from the top vent. I also had to put a spacer from the bottom to lift the blower a couple of inches so it wouldn’t move and this also helped in keeping the air blowing out from the top of the blower. Another issue for me was the noise level. This one is loud compared to the previous blower we had (if it wasn’t shrieking). I mean, it’s not a big issue for me, but I just wish it was quieter. I hope this would last a long time and I’m also hoping this is maintenance-free. Overall, it replaced our old fireplace blower that started screaming and the installation was easy even a knucklehead like me can figure it out. It’s loud, but it’s blowing hard.

Great price and still working fine.
The fan is still working great. It didn't have the velcro strips as described, but instead had adhesive foam pads, but I substituted some velcro I had, so it can be easily removed for maintenace or repair. The speed control is an upgrade from the one I had since it controls current instead of voltage. I cut mine out so I could mount the control on the wall where my other one was. I didn't use the magnetic "safety" switch in my application. This fan was a great price and shipped fast.

It turned out to be a little too small for my fireplace. My mistake as I did not check the measurements before purchasing. However it still works well.

Solved a decade old mystery.
I had lived in my house for over 10 years and never knew what the switch on my wall next to the fireplace was for. I had one for the gas that turned the fire on..other swith nothing. I installed this blower and found a hidden outlet under the fireplace...wanna guess what powered it...yup that decade old switch. I was as giddy as can be. The addition of a blower to move the heat was just a plus at that point. 😅
