Not the best tasting but would be better than nothing in a crisis.

We wanted to see if this would work for an emergency kit or for one of our backpacking trips. A test at home was in order, since you don’t want your first taste or use of something to be in the middle of an emergency or in a place you can’t adjust if needed.The pouch is better than many I have tried in the past. It stands up on its own and the ziplock seal works well.The directions called for 2 cups of boiling water. We added that, stirred and waited the 15 minutes for it to reconstitute. The results were mixed again and then we sampled. The berries were plump and soft, the cereal was a little soupy, just how my wife likes it, too thin for me. The taste is good. It’s definitely not super sweet like the oatmeal packets we have sometimes carried.I think I would like it better with less water added, which we can definitely do. Altogether it’s not a bad breakfast. Two hungry people may want more than just this one packet, even though it claims to have 2.5 servings.

This was terrible. I mean TERRIBLE! I was excited to try a new flavor, after one bite, an overwhelming soapy taste filled my mouth. I stirred the pack again and tried a few more bites hoping that I just hadn’t mixed it well enough. Not the case. I am not a picky eater at all, but this is hands down one of the worst things that I have put in my mouth.

It taste just like cookies. Will buy more.

While backpacking, this made a hearty dinner. Hard to cook it all evenly, but still tasted great after a long haul.
