Does this work for "GAS "dryer inside the house ?

Absolutely not! since gas dryers release carbon monoxide gas in their exhaust. It’d be the same thing as running your car in your garage, it will kill you.

Do I have to use the water drawer or can I leave it empty?

Mine is vented to the garage, but it is rusting all my tools and bikes. I want something that collects the water from the dryer.

Doesn’t the moisture released back into the dryer room, unfortunately extend the drying time of the wet clothes?!

Mine is released into the garage, but I don’t think the moisture laden air in the laundry room can re-enter the dryer and extend the drying time.
