Far exceeded my expectations, very healthy shrimp!
I've ordered shrimp online before and never had this much success. ALL of the shrimp arrived alive - including the extras to guarantee the order minimum of 20. There were 3 baby shrimp so small they didn't even have color in addition to my 22 adults, so that's an amazing outcome! I ordered these in the middle of July so my expectations were not that high. The ice pack included did melt but did not leak, the bag with shrimp was well sealed as well. I can tell the shrimp have not been fed too recently before shipment as there was very little waste in the bottom of the bag. The shrimp themselves are definitely not all 100% fire red high grade but to expect that at this cost with shipment of the shrimp is really unrealistic. Overall the grade is better than what is available to me locally, with bright red opaque coloring for the most part. A couple shrimp are overly dark and a few have the racing stripe, but most are truly a high grade neocardina which exceeded my expectations. Overall they are very pretty shrimp and maintain an opaque color that makes them super visible in the tank. Most of the shrimp themselves are all still healthy after a four hour drip acclimation and another 12 hours in the tank so far. One has died, but none are showing symptoms of obvious near death. Less "glass surfing" than I've observed when getting other shrimp.

Great assortment and healthy
I’ve bought these a few times and they always arrive alive and healthy. You get a couple extra just in case but I’ve always had great experiences. They are vibrant and come in different colors and sizes. I’ve had some babies too. I like the yellow and red ones, they stand out against the plants.

Great packaging came with cool pack
All the shrimp were alive and intact and very active. They really enjoy the tank I put them in. I'm very satisfied with the delivery. It's very hot here in Texas. It got to 105° yesterday and I was worried about these shrimp being okay I had placed the order before the temperatures had started to change this high. Luckily the distributor thought ahead and put a cold pack in there with my shrimp. It's a tension like that that makes me want to keep coming back. Would highly recommend

Healthy, hardy shrimp with great colors
I was really wary about ordering shrimp through Amazon, even with the good reviews and all. I sort of expected them to all arrive dead or at least to die shortly after arriving. It's been about two weeks, though, and my shrimp are still thriving. I did have several dead shrimp in the bag that arrived, but only maybe 3-4 of them, which isn't bad. One also did die within 24 hours of being introduced to my tank. They add some extra into the shipment to account for that, though, so I still wound up with 19-21 shrimp (I counted several times and wound up with different numbers, but it's 20ish so I'm happy). The shrimp themselves are just kind of shrimp, so I'm not sure what to say about them. The colors are really vibrant and I did receive a nice mix. I was reminded to write this review because I logged in to order a second shipment for another tank I have, so I would definitely recommend these guys. ***Update: I did indeed order another shipment, and this one did not go quite as smoothly but was still an excellent experience overall. The issue was caused by delay during shipping which was beyond the seller's control (I was tracking the package and it had already left their care), and unfortunately by the time they arrived, only 7 shrimp were alive. I did release those guys into my tank and they are still doing well, amazingly enough. The instructions about what to do if shrimp arrived dead that were included in the packaging were very clear and easy to follow, although I was a little concerned because I had to take a picture in the sealed packaging and was having trouble getting a clear image. However, that turned out to not be an issue--the moderate-quality photos I got with my crappy phone worked fine. They weren't the best about communication, so it went like a week without a response and I was starting to think I should email them again without attaching pictures in case it got caught up in their spam filter, but then they did respond to say they had shipped replacements and gave me a tracking number. The replacement shrimp arrived a few days later, all healthy and in excellent condition. Overall an excellent experience. I only mentioned the minor lack of communication and the difficulty of taking the photo as a heads up to others, not because I found them upsetting or worth shaving off any points for.

Not impressed.
I liked the variety of colors. Upon arrival I counted the shrimp while still in the bag and there were only 20. When I open the bag to start the drip exclamation I noticed an odor, but thankfully all were alive. I'm glad because I did not receive the extra two as advertised. I noticed one or two were berried, so I guess that technically makes up for the missing two. They were what seemed to be stressed and I did not realize this seller did not include heating packs which is an error on my part. After I introduced them to the tank everyone seemed to be happy. Unfortunately within a few days I had lost four to five. A few days after that I noticed one that had green stuff on it and at first I thought it was pregnant. But I don't think those are babies. Unfortunately she did not make it. She passed shortly after she was pulled out of the tank to quarantine. I probably have about six out of 20 still alive after 2 weeks. I did not anticipate the outcome as I have ordered online before with no issues. Also there were no plants included as advertised and nowhere on the package did it say "LIVE" as it has in the past when I ordered. I believe they may have rust disease, which I don't know much about because I've not had this problem before until now and I've been shrimp keeping for a long time. If I could give minus Stars I would. I'm not even going to bother reaching out through the little piece of paper that came with the package because they were alive when they arrived and the paper says to contact if you have any dead on arrivals. It doesn't say please contact us if your shrimp are dying or if they all die within 2 weeks or if they have a fungus or rust disease. So I'm not going to waste my time. Hopefully my tank survives all of this with the other shrimp that I had prior to these guys. If not I may give up the hobby all together which is really sad. That said I would not recommend and I would not purchase again. Please do your research if everyone is saying the same thing then they're probably something to it and I should have listened but I thought maybe they just got a bad batch. Nope! And from what I'm reading the seller will not even get back with you. So we have false advertisement, sick and dying shrimp, and a seller that just will not respond. I did reach out to the seller via the Amazon app and a week later... crickets ...not a word. I will be contacting Amazon customer service tomorrow and we'll see where that gets me.

Depends on seller
I have ordered twice once from SF AQUATIC and once from Plecos&Beyond. So I will rate my purchases separately. From SF AQUATIC I got a good selection of colors (red, blue, yellow, orange and a single black) and good male vs female ratio as well as sizes. I got a decent amount of large females and a couple of them had eggs which have since hatched and I have several tiny cute babies in red and blue. It was package with care in a several bags and a box that had styrofoam cut to fit the box perfectly I was sent exactly 20 but it arrived with 2 dead. With Plecos&Beyond I doubled my order so I ordered 40. I was sent 41 double bagged and wrapped in several layers of news paper inside the box. One of the bags sprung a leak and some of the shrimp got pinched between the bags but managed to survive. Of the 41 only 1 is struggling and looking as though it may not make it. However I was not sent a good variety of colors and I want to say I got a lot of males but as I got mostly smaller shrimp it is still hard to say. I was sent mostly grey shrimp which was kind of disappointing, followed by several blue and only a few of the brighter colors which I prefer as they are easier to see against my black substrate. So depending on what you are looking for each seller may have its pros and cons. I don't think I would purchase from P&B again just based on the quality of what I was sent. I appreciate that they were healthy and arrived alive but getting 20 greyish shrimp wasn’t what I was looking for! If you don’t care about the color then I will say they seem healthy and in good shape overall. SF was packaged better but came with doa and older shrimp but good colors. If I order in the future I think I will order from the Las Vegas based company as they are the closest. The photo is from my shipment from Plecos&Beyond. Generally it would probably be best to find the seller closest to where you live so your shrimp have less time being shipped around. Also make sure temps are agreeable! :)

Great Value and Great seller
This will be a long review but I wanted to make this as thorough as possible because there were a lot extenuating circumstances and what could go wrong did! 100% recommend this seller!! My first order faced many obstacles - MLK Day, the coldest weather in several years and USPS delayed arrival by 3 days!! With all these issues - they arrived DOA (8 days in a bag DOES NOT work). NONE of the issues were because of the seller/breeder - they were expertly packaged and shipped. The issues were all caused by USPS and the weather! I called and he (the seller) was very helpful and reassured me that the breeder would make things right. After a few emails exchanged - the breeder sent a replacement group of 20+ that arrived just fine in 3 days (as they should have done the first time without all the issues). 2 were dead in the bag but he includes extras just in case. They have been in my tank now for over 24 hours and 2 more ended up dead but with the extras I still ended up with 20 - so all good. They are a great variety - blue, red and orange rili, solid orange, red and blue and some that have a neon yellow stripe (really cool). Just a lot of cool little shrimp - if that is what you want then the value is awesome (these are $8 each at the pet store) - so the price is phenomenal! I have read a few negative reviews - from my experience I think it’s more on the buyer’s end - not the seller. When you ship fish/shrimp - typically ammonia in the bag is very high and the ph drops drastically (see my pic) - you need to float them to get the bag to tank temperature and then put them in a small fish safe container and dump out about half the water. Add some fresh tank water (not a lot) to start getting rid of the nasty water and slowly raise the ph level. Not too quick - they will go into shock from the drastic change in ph. I spent several hours removing small amounts of water and adding fresh tank water - giving them time to adjust. Don’t rush this process. Even getting them acclimated like this and I still had 2 not make it - all covered by the extras. When I was done - the water parameters were exactly the same and they released wonderfully. You also want to make sure your tank is fully cycled and ready for the shrimp. The pic is one of an orange, orange rili and a blue - lots of variety. I would 100% buy from this seller again and highly recommend.
