I would like to glue these on to some ugly bi-fold doors. 1) Will that work? If so, what type of glue...wood glue? 2) Are they easy to cut?

Bought to use as O gauge model railway sleepers

Too wide as manufactured, but very easy to trim to needed width. 6-8mm. About seven sleepers, slightly short, per strip. That will do for me! They take stain well to look like treated wood , and trying to find a suitable stain for "old sleeper" looks.
