An ensemble romance
I Don’t Do Mondays by Colette Kebell is billed as the story of Mia. However, it’s truly an ensemble story. The cast of characters claims a large portion of the book with many overlapping storylines. The first half of the book sets up the various plot lines, and it’s interesting to see them come together. While Carleton is the most despised of the bunch, Mia actually is fairly unlikeable too. The money-making schemes from Ginger are quite comedic and make for some hilarious conversations.By the second half of the book, Mia has started her turn around to become a better person. She becomes more likable as the book progresses. The story is ultimately about understanding, forgiveness, and growing up. It doesn’t hurt to see a specific character get his comeuppance.Toward the end of the book, I didn’t see how all the storylines could possibly be solved in time. I feared a cliff hanger and sequel was coming. However, the author wrapped everything up nicely without it feeling overly rushed. This story will appeal to readers who enjoy varied characters, including LGBTQ couples. It includes a wide range of topics such as law, art, social media icons, and fashion.I received a review copy of the book. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.

all the romcom feels
Want a quirky kinda romcom read that checks all the boxes?I Don’t Do Mondays is exactly what you are looking for.A quick and fun read, we learn about Mia with her stupid decisions and Carlton her privileged user jerk of a boyfriend who unenthusiastically proposes, and Mia is gullible enough to accept. When Mia flies home to Maine to actually STOP her parents from attending her wedding, she hits a low point and faces some hard truths and is forced to examine herself and what she really wants out of life. With a crazy ensemble of friends and family, and the romcom twists and turns that we all love, Colette Kebell has written another page turner of a novel that is one kooky ride. I really enjoyed reading this and hated to say goodbye when it ended. I gotta say this is a must read for the romcom lovers.Thank you so much to Colette Kebell, and Rachel Gilbey from Rachels Random Resources, for my gifted copy of this book for my honest and unbiased opinion.

fun and entertaining rom-com
This action packed rom-com was an entertaining and fun read. Some of the decisions of the characters kept me guessing at what they might do next. This intriguing novel definitely had some complicated life-like relationships.Mia was definitely my favorite character and Carlton my not favorite.I have read some of Colette's novels and enjoyed them as well.I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.

An enjoyable read
I don't do Mondays is a wonderful read and a title that I am sure a lot of us associate with! Quite a few of the characters articulate why they don't do Mondays and in the main, it is because they are unhappy in their jobs.Mia, the main character is torn between doing what is right, which is the way she has been brought up, and making lots of money, which is what she thinks is right. She is a lawyer who was let go from a top firm and who then started her own solo practice for people who need a lawyer but cannot pay much. She is constantly looking to validate her worth by being able to eventually get back to a top practice with a six figure salary. The story has Mia questioning her values and whether they are the right ones. She has wonderful friends, Zander and Jennifer, and a fantastic assistant, Ginger, who has various money making schemes on the side, such as a professional mourner at funerals!A funny book with a good tale and the right kind of ending!

A real page turner!
I had been recommended this book and as I'm a chick lit fan and love the beautiful cover, thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't disappointed! This is a book you will want to read in a few days, as it's difficult to put down. You root for Mia and really dislike one or two of the other characters, including Carlton, which to me is a sign of a good read. This is a book to curl up by a fire with, or take on holiday and enjoy. A really wonderful read. Ideal for romance fans.
