First Experience with Wrangler and It's Good
I decided on these over logger or carpenter jeans because these were not so baggy and had a better body conforming fit. This is the first rigid jean I had bought since HS. After three washing, there is a good fade emerging and a better fit. I got them with the understanding they were shrink to fit. I had bought a pair of used Wrangler 35x32, prewashed, off Ebay as a trial run into this brand since I normally wear 34x31. Those used ones were a bit tight perhaps shrinking some. What I noticed is they did stretch back out. The Wranglers I got from Amazon were the rigid 36x32. I wore them a couple of days and decided to wash them inside out in hot water, no detergent. I let them air dry after a brief period on low heat in the dryer. There was no noticeable difference in color or size. The next day I used the jean for gathering firewood and operating the tractor in the woods to pick up what I had cut with the saw. I washed the jeans this time with detergent inside out on hot. I dried them on low heat for 20 minutes and then took them out. No noticeable difference in color or size. I decided I would give them the full treatment, hot wash (inside out) and hot dry to see what happens. Well, I was pleased with the results, a nice blue is emerging and probably the best fit coming. These are both functional and stylish. These are functional because, if you are going to use them for work, you need a jean that sits higher on your hips for bending and getting on and off equipment. They are thicker than the prewashed used one I got off EBay, so they should last. I like how Wrangler tapers the bottoms so they remain over the boot and cannot drag in the mud like bell bottom cut. BTW, these are the original, not slim fit. For work I need some movement. Also, if I need a base layer, I have room. These are stylish. I would not hesitate to wear them for business casual with my Justin Ropers or lace up Chippewa's Engineer. The bottom taper would work with either. Now, if you like the bunched up look like I do, consider that when ordering. You'll need some extra length for riding on a tractor or riding a horse, etc. I've had the same two pair now for 9 years. I've always washed them inside out but put them in the dryer. I wore one pair more than the other which is darker. My new process is to wash inside out and air dry. I fold leg over leg and hang in the closet once dry.

Very durable, comfortable jeans
Toughest jeans goin. When you first get them they will be a bit baggy and stiff, wash them inside out and wear them for a while. After a few washes they will shrink to fit and be tough as iron.
