Camila Paris CP1476 French woman Hair Accessories (4") Hair Barrettes. Strong and Durable Hair Ornaments. Made in France

I was unsure whether or not this would work. These days I look at the bad reviews first, looking for the same problems over and over. The reviews for this one were the best that I found in a half hour of looking and so I decided to take a chance. I almost didn't. I thought the price was steep, really expensive for just one clip. My attitude was "it better be worth it!". First, it's a really large clip. The size surprised me, I thought it would be too big? It seemed to be solid and well made. When I took it out of the wrap, I checked right away that the clip part opened and closed without obvious signs of imminent looseness or mechanical failure. Then I wrapped around my thick pony and held my breath waiting for the inevitible sound of the barrette breaking, but it didn't! It held all of my hair and held it in place. I am actually here to buy another color so I thought I'd leave a review. I will add photos the next time I use it. I hope it holds up, if it doesn't, I'll let you know. For now, I'm happy with my purchase.

Comfortable, holds well. I swim with it, so the metal parts eventually broke down, but I bought the same one again because I liked it so much.
