Very unstable
Although its not clear from the pictures, the shelf doesn't actually screw into anything. You put the this between the original faceplate and the wall and screw the faceplate to the wall with a longer screw. There is nothing to keep the shelf from sliding around behind the faceplate and it does. The amount of pressure you need to hold the shelf in place will break a plastic faceplate and I wasn't about to buy a metal one just to support this shelf. Not worth returning -- tossed it in the trash.

Simple yet effective, but small
The power perch is exactly as one would expect. I only wish it was slightly larger to comfortable accommodate a Waterpik. For my nephew's bathroom, I use it to hold his electric toothbrush and it works perfectly. For my niece's bathroom, I use it to hold her Waterpik Ultra; it works, but it is a very tight fit. If the perch was just a little bit larger the entire Waterpik could fit on the shelf; as it is, a little bit of the Waterpik is over the edge of the perch. With that said, the perch still easily holds the weight of the Waterpik with no problem, even with the Waterpik reservoir is full of water. I'm very happy with the power perch, but it could easily be a little bit better. I would definitely recommend buying this product if you need it.

Does what it is intended to ... with modification
This shelf is held on only by the center outlet cover screw. Unsure how much weight it can handle like that, but I suspect very little. So I drilled holes in the shelf, being aware that there's a stud running along one side of the outlet, and I used drywall anchors to make the shelf self-supporting. I then screwed the outlet cover back on and it is not holding any weight of the items on the shelf. The shelf backing does push the outlet cover out away from the outlet a bit, but that's not a big issue. The outlet cover will crack, however, if it is screwed in too tightly.

Great Space Saver
I am happy with my power perches. I use them around the house to handle the aroma scents dispensers that I use. They prevent me from having to use table and cabinet space for them and they enable me to place the dispensers in areas without available space. For the most part, they are easy to install, except, they could be thinner. They are the same thickness as the outlet plates so they do not fit snugly behind the plates, they fit flush with the plates which is awkward.

Size matters
So, I don't know if my outlet covers are non standard throughout my entire house or what, but they're too wide for the shelves. This product will only work if your outlet covers are the right width.

The perfect answer for my husband's charging of his golf
The perfect answer for my husband's charging of his golf watch, GPS, iPhone, etc. Usually these things were on the floor under a low outlet by the front door, subject to me kicking them, and just looking messy. Now they're neatly on the shelf, off the floor. This was the perfect answer to that! I put the second one in my bathroom for my electric toothbrush. Freed up much-needed counter space! Took me a while to find a slightly longer screw to accommodate my fancy wall outlet cover, would be helpful if one was included with this.

Worked ok but...
I used one for the component to my Blink alarm system to rest upon and that worked ok. Wanted to use the other one in the kitchen as a ledge for phones, etc. to rest upon while charging but it wouldn't fit completely flush over the outlet. Left gaps and didn't match up to the outlets, so it was a no go.

Look good and offer extra space but they don't feel sturdy
Ordered these to hold a smart speaker on top and while it allows that, they feel flimsy. They should have some type of adhesive in the back to help stabilize them. They also do not work in a travel trailer because they are not sturdy enough and the plates in an rv do not have screws. In most houses these will work but just wished they were a little sturdier.
