Caligraphy Practice Paper/Workbook: Hand Lettering Workbook for Beginners

Total junk ZERO stars
The paper is NOT smooth. it feathers and bleeds, not only through the side you're writing on but straight through to the next sheet of paper. It feels like cheap printer paper. This is absolutely NOT usable for calligraphy practice. I would give it zero stars if that was possible. PLEASE do NOT buy this.

Bleeds so all strokes look same thickness
Thin paper bleeds so there are no sharp starts and stops as needed for the strokes of calligraphy and line thickness appears the same (vs thick and thin) bc of this bleeding. Also bleeds through page to ruin several pages behind it.

If you use a fountain and/or a dip pen, save your $
I was cautiously optimistic. For shiggles, I grabbed a couple of my pens (Pilot 912 FA & a Maiora 1.1 stub) and started laying down ink. As one can plainly see the paper couldn't stand up to the rigors of penning. I didn't even bother testing with a dip pen. The results displayed not only ghosting...it also feathered and bled.Needless to say I will not be buying these any longer. Due to the subpar results, I must question the validity of this products claim of 140gsm. I have Tomoe River paper that's around 70gsm, yet there is no bleeding or feathering. It is what it is.

Teeny tiny lines printed on brush fraying paper. right size. Not good paoer
These lines are so ridiculously tiny!! There is ¼" between the baseline and midlines. The descender line is only ⅛" below the baseline and the same ¼" between the midline to the ascender line. As you can see in my picture, unless you want to practice drawing microscopicly small letters... this practice book is not for any serious lettering hobbyist. From left to right are different sizes of my brush pens. Large Tombow Dual-tip. A medium size Pentel Touch and a small size is my Tombow small brush pen. I'm new to the hobby and ALL the practice pages I've printed out to use have all had to the same, much larger dimensions. NONE of them are this tiny. Also the quality of the paper is less than zero. It wool fray your pens in no time.

Ink feathers and bleeds on this paper
Those paper is terrible for practice. I tried multiple types of ink and they all bleed and feather. I do not recommend this paper.

Not suitable for pointed pen
I have been teaching myself pointed pen for the past year or more, and I am always looking for paper that is suitable, i.e. won't bleed, feather, etc. This paper is a little rough for pointed pen. Fibers from the paper are picked up by the pen, and the tip must be cleaned often. But, the most disappointing feature is the fact that the lines are not spaced correctly unless you only want to practice the minuscules alphabet. It is just not suitable to practice majuscules. You have to go way outside the lines for the majuscules. Black calligraphy ink does not feather, but other colored inks do. I would not recommend.

Not Good For Dip Pens
If you want to learn Calligraphy with a dip pen, this is not the choice to get. Bleeds through 3-4 pages. Have to buy another workbook. Might use this to try with my fineliners or pencil. I even think the fineliners will bleed through.

Not for dip pen calligraphy
Low quality paper. It’s not for dip pen calligraphy for sure.

Calligraphy paper
Good quality

not bad
Does the job at a reasonable price. Took a star off because 1, could use some extra space between the lines for those more dramatic fonts, and 2, the pages could be a little bit thicker, they do bleed a little. By the way try printing out the fonts and sticking them to the page like this lol, great way to practice
