Eden: Untamed Planet [DVD]

Incredibly beautiful cinematography and fascinating facts!
Untamed planet provides a wealth of new info on wildlife, plant life and ecosystems which for most people will be new. A series like this really does instill the viewer with a love for the beauty and wonder at the mysteries of Nature and its fragility (and sometimes, its resilience). It also depicts the impact of human activities (usually harmful but occasionally helpful). I think those who watch may very well be motivated to help to try to save the patches of existing natural areas before they are lost to us forever. It's not too late if we all respect and nurture Nature which is our own "mother". Humans cannot exist without the contributions of the many living organisms around us. We are losing species at a rate 1000X faster than normal; we humans have started the Sixth Mass Extinction Event which must be halted if life as we know and love it will survive. This series will also give you a new respect and fascination at the intelligence of many species. Trees "talk" to each other through the inter-related fungal organisms. You will begin to appreciate that there is so much complexity and mutual dependence amongst living things - this will open your eyes!organisms

One of the best documentaries that I've ever seen.
This documentary was fantastic. The voice actress Helena Bonham Carter was awesome. She's up there with Attenborough, in my opinion. The picture quality was crystal clear. It was like looking through a window. And don't be put off with the baby orangutan on the cover art. I wasn't sure if this documentary was going to be a kiddie show or not, but it wasn't. There were some scenes with animals hunting that I was shocked but happy to see. Real nature isn't hidden in this documentary. Do yourself a favor and buy this documentary.
