It was perfect for my friend’s birthday gift! He had slides from the early sixties in Vietnam that he’d never seen. No gory war pics, just touristy stuff and lots of girls lol. He’s really pleased with it and can entertain himself for hours with the viewer.

Works just as described. A wonderful tool for looking at old slides and film. We've used it a lot as we go through boxes of old family photos.

This device is nice and compact, and I like being able to use it attached to my computer with the USB port. I also like the feature of being able to look at negatives. The only issue I have is that it is sometimes hard to eject the slides. All in all, it is a good purchase for the price.

I had some old negatives that I had no idea what they were and ordered this. I was able to see old pictures of my mother that I had never seen before. This was very easy to use with simple directions and even my eight year old loves to use it. Would definitely buy from this company again!

I bought this to look through a box of old negatives, to sort them and put them in sleeves. This viewer is easy to use, but only magnifies the negative 3x, and doesn't reverse the color, so faces and scenes are hard to recognize. Also negatives are hard to feed through the slot they need to go into. Flat perfect ones work ok, but if they are arched (many old ones are) or whatever, they won't slide into the slot on the far side so they can be fed through. The worst thing is that I have this impression it's a design problem. No reason why the slots couldn't have been shaped so they tapered and kind of guided the negatives in, but they weren't. Anyway, this thing is easier to use than just holding the negatives up to a window because the magnification is a help, and this works well with slides, but it's not a perfect solution for me.

Was unable to use as my old slides were bigger than the slot. I have had these slides for at least 40 years so I am sure they are bigger than used current days. The light was bright enough that I could hold on the screen and see clearly what was on the slide. Would still recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was confident that when I ordered a 35mm slide viewer (oddly enough I received two viewers)I and was looking forward to having a unit that would allow me to view my slides enlarged and illuminated. I was very disappointed to discover that the slides opening was too small to accommodate the slides. In(both viewers had identical openings.) Ordering the slide viewers was not only a disappointing experience but also a tremendous waste of my time.

This is such a great slide viewer for such a great price. The lighting is perfect so a person can view the slides clearly. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I really liked the look and detailed description of this item along with the price.

No se puede pedir más. Bueno sí, una entrada de negativos más grande para poder ver también la película de 120mm, y un soporte para que el negativo quede fijo al mirarlo a la luz en el medio de la lupa. Pero, por lo demás, es super sencillo y no es una baratija. Las diapositivas se ven estupendamente bien. Eso sí, como alguno comenta: no es un 'positivador', of course, no te va a positivar los negativos. Su función es aumentar las diapositivas y ver detalles si lo que miras es un negativo.

Perfect for viewing old slides. Have not used on film. Some have found it a little difficult to get a completely clear view of the image. Slides easily drop in from the top. I did find that pressing the little button on the side to drop them through to the collection tray did not always work. You sometimes had to tip it upside down to retrieve the slide.
