Q: will this celery powder aid in weight loss?

We don't make any sort of weight loss claims with our celery powder. Our goal is to create a powder that is as nutritionally close to fresh organic celery as possible. Hope this helps!

Q: Is this celery powder free of pesticides?

Organic produce is not necessarily pesticide-free. There may be pesticides used in organic farming, but they're derived from natural substances rather than synthetic ones. Anything used would be allowed under the USDA Organic program.

Q: One scoop of celery powder for 1/2 cup of juice. How many oz in 1/2 cup?

With our powder being whole freeze-dried celery stalk (including all the fiber) we equate it to fresh celery, not celery juice. One scoop is equivalent to 1/2 cup of fresh celery. We make that comparison by looking at the USDA nutrient database, where it states that 1/2 cup of celery weighs 50.5 g and has 48.2 g of water. When we remove the water through freeze-drying, we're left with 2.3 g (which we round up to 2.5 g) of dry celery equivalent to 1/2 cup (or 50.5 g) of fresh celery. Hope this helps!

Q: How long is is good after opening?

If you seal the jar tightly, the powder should last for 6 months after opening. If you live in a humid/hot climate, you might want to store your powders in the refrigerator to increase the shelf-life. Fruit powders especially tend to clump up in warm, humid climates.
