Cold Enough to Cure a Desert Mirage
BLUF: Great water bottle — keeps drinks so cold and refreshing it could’ve saved Chevy Chase in that scene where he’s stumbling through the desert with his pants on his head like a sun‑baked mirage survivor. This bottle is sturdy, leakproof, and somehow colder than my kid’s attitude when I tell him screen time is over. The chug lid is easy to use, doesn’t spill, and the insulation is no joke — it keeps water cold long enough that even Chevy Chase, mid‑desert meltdown, would’ve taken one sip and immediately stopped hallucinating. The colors look great, it fits in cup holders, and it’s become the go‑to bottle in our house. If you need something that can quench thirst at “lost in the desert wearing questionable headgear” levels, this is the one.

Best insulated bottle I have found.
I am a fanatical bike rider. Currently, I ride 40-50 miles per day (mid-summer) in Florida, so having something cold to drink is mandatory. I have gone through 3-4 other brands of insulated bottles, including the biggest one in insulated bottles. Nothing is better than this one. I bought the Fanhaw 20 oz. size because it fits best in my bottle cages. It is the most compact 20 oz. insulated bottle I have owned. In spite of its compact size, it keeps my water as cold or colder than any other bottle I have used. I load the bottle with ice cubes and then add water to top off. I carry a refill bottle of water to refill my Fanhaw 2-3 times per ride. I have never run out of ice in the bottle. Cold to start, cold to end. It has a carry handle that snaps flush to the bottle when not needed. It has a pop-up lid. It has a drinking spout, and a breathe hole so the water flows freely. It is well made and attractive. It is very competitively priced. One tip for something I had to learn. I tend to drink from the bottle sideways (the popup lid to the side). That doesn't work with this bottle. The breathe hole needs to be above the spout for it to work effectively, and then it works very well. Bottom line, I have purchased two and will likely purchase again.

Water bottle issue
This water bottle is convenient and lightweight for me to carry. The issue I have is that it leaks while drinking, I night have to throw it out. I would expect a replacement of a better quality or something

Decent performance at a decent price
I bought two of these mainly for my bike rides. I had to replace my aging Contigo water bottles b/c the handles are breaking and to replace them with another Contigo brand is too expensive. I also wanted a bottle that you could use with one hand to open it which is important when riding a bike. And lastly, I wanted a 20oz bottle as I do not have enough room in my bike's water bottle cage to fit a 24oz bottle (it hits the bike frame). It seems most bottles nowadays are 24oz or more. This Fanhaw bottle had the features I wanted. It seems to keep liquids cold for a decent amount of time. The handle feels a bit flimsy so we will see how it holds up. I like the size as it is a smaller footprint than my Contigo 20 oz bottles (about an inch shorter). In fact, I had to measure both b/c I did not think the Fanhaw would hold as much. Sure enough, 20oz. It also does not leak. Yay! The only minor issue is how the lid opens. It flips up and as you drink from the bottle but only goes back so far. So, the lid is right between your eyes and hits the forehead which limits how much you can tilt the bottle. You have to tilt your entire head back a bit to drink especially as you get near empty. It's minor and I can still see enough when riding my bike, but I do wish it opened more and was out of the way. Oh, and you cannot turn it sideways to prevent getting hit between the eyes as it has a vent hole which if the bottle is turned sideways, contents will leak from the hole. I wish they allowed the cap to swing open further. On the plus side, washing the bottle is easy. The Contigo bottles have springs and stuff in the bottle top and a small spout that opens which can be a pain to clean. We only use our bottles for water so it is not a big deal. This Fanhaw bottle just has a regular hole-type opening and some rubber or silicone seals. Very easy to clean. For the price, it does what my Contigo bottles do though just not as well (the Contigo bottles did not have flipping type lid, just a push button that opened a spout). If they could improve the amount the lid opens so it swings back further, they would have a near perfect bottle, at least for my needs. I noticed while writing this review that there is a tab that stops the lid from opening further. I suspect that through repeated use of the top flipping open and relying on this small tab to stop its momentum, it will ultimately break and the top will flip all the way open and no longer hit the forehead. So, it may be a rare case where something breaks and it improves the product:) UPDATE: I noticed after my review above that you can push the lid open further so it does not hit you in the forehead. The tab is just an initial stop position. Although when fully open it still obstructs your view if riding a bike, you do not need to tilt your head back as far. Another UPDATE: It has since occured to me that my comparison to the Contigo water bottle is not a great comparison. Yes, the Fanhaw is cheaper than the Contigo, but as my wife pointed out, we have dropped our Contigo water bottles numerous times over the years (even while riding our bikes and hence they fell to the pavement at 15mph) and they have held up well. I doubt the Fanhaw water bottle will survive a single fall to the concrete as the lid is a cheap plastic unlike the durable materials used on the Contigo bottles. I will try my best not to drop it but as much as we use them, it is bound to happen.

Bottle is good but lid is a complete gamble. OK budget bottle if you're not in a rush.
Update on 08/05/2025: Bottom line: this is now good value for the $ and less of a risk in my book. Seller reached out and offered to send me 3 replacements for my defective lids (the seventh bottle did show up with a bad lid). All 3 new lids arrived in 2 days and in good condition as promised. They then went on to make sure there is a video showing buyers how to contact them using the chat bot if their lid shows up damaged (see product listing images/videos above). My original review still holds regarding lid quality control, but if buyers can get replacements for lids that show up defective or damaged quickly, then I'd say this is a very nice budget option for a slim 20oz water bottle if you can get it for $10-$15 on a sale or for the cheaper colors. Especially if you want one where the drinking spout is completely covered when not in use AND there's no weird built in straw BS to try and keep clean. Original review on 07/25/2025: Bottle is good, lid is a complete gamble, and seller does not allow you to contact them. I would purchase again at the 12$ price point, but you may not want to depending on how long you can wait to have a functional water bottle: I recently purchased 5 of the 20oz to use around the house so the cats can't spill our water/drinks, and I've had to replace 2 already as soon as I unboxed them. The "sixth" showed up in good condition, and I'm still waiting on the "seventh" (replacements). First off, the good: the bottle is respectable for the price, fits in cup holders, and the powder coat or whatever they used to paint it looks amazing. I also let tap water sit inside one for a few hours then did a basic strip-type lead test and it came up clean so seems good there. Now the bad. It's an exact copy of a water bottle I got 10 years ago from a seller called Embrava, and the design has NOT improved. The lid is flimsy, and *would* be perfectly acceptable at the price point, but they have at least 3 different molds and it's a complete gamble as to which one made the lid you will get. See photos, but basically one lid works perfectly with crisp lock/unlock and firm detent to hold it open, one lid locks correctly but the detent is too small and will flop around when you go to drink (not a huge issue), and one lid does not latch/can just pop open! Obviously a known issue since the seller sells this, and only this, spare lid in their store for half the price of the full bottle. One note on the lid: when reading the other reviews, ignore all the comments about it leaking or dumping water on them: These are people who very clearly didn't follow the instructions and machine washed their lids - there is literally no way to "lose" the little rubber stoppers otherwise since they fit snugly in. And as for the ones who don't understand what a vent hole is and how to use a ridged-walled bottle without dripping all over their own face... God help us all... Lastly the awful: Maybe I'm just getting old and don't know where to find the right hidden button, but the seller does not appear to be set up so you can contact them to get a replacement lid sent. If you use the automated bot on their profile page (which seems to be the only option), no matter what you say it just keeps telling you the item is shipped by Amazon, so you have to go through them.

Great bottle for a great price!
I didn't want a really big water bottle. I wanted one that fit nicely on the side of my backpack. This one is the perfect size. It also keeps my ice water perfectly chilled for the whole day. It has a wide mouth, so that adding ice is easy and makes it easy to clean. I also like the lid. It is easy to drink from. The color is nice, as well.

Great for amusement parks
We got these for a family trip to an amusement park, and I didn’t want it bigger ones and their weight. These are the perfect size/weight when filled for the kids to carry in their backpacks and we just refill them at a water fountain after each ride. No leaking, keeps our water cool.

Not bad, not great
Over the span of 3 years, I’ve bought about 6 of these water bottles. They work, not great, but very easy to clean and drink from. From time to time, depending on how you hold it, water could come from the top hole (not a deal breaker for me). I love the handle on this, the lock has never broken on me and I’ve never had a leak - however after a while the insulation would start to go and there’d be rust forming on the top part of the bottle and lid

Perfect size for car holder, keeps water cold
Love this water bottle! Smooth flow of water with a nice small spout. Nice colour. It's sturdy, I've dropped it a few times.... Just watch for the inner lid liner/seal if you drop it as it has flown out each time. Comes with extra liner/seal, and a wand for washing. Perfect size for the car cup holder, keeps my water cold. Edit to add I've now bought this in other colours and the larger 32oz size(this one does fit my cup holder but it's pretty tall, the smaller one is better for the car for me, prefer the hand fit of it for driving... The blue colour is really nice) . It's my favourite style water bottle because of the chug style flip lid. Also the customer service is amazing. I had some trouble with one of my bottles and they sent a replacement no charge.

Mega tolle Flasche

The best on the market IMO.
I've had loads of insulated water bottles, but none have ticked all the boxes until this one. Perfect size, perfect drinking spout, that makes chugging dead easy, one handed operation, keeps water ice cold. Without doubt the best.

Great Bottle!!! Be careful with the hinge.
Have to say, I'm surprised. The claim of keeping water cold for over 12 hours is true. Picked it up off my desk the next morning and it was still cold as if I just filled it from fresh cold water out of the fridge. Fit and surface finish of the outer bottle looks great. My only worry is the lid hinge and how long it will last. It wiggles around a lot, and looks a pretty flimsy. So I'll have to be careful with it. I don't think I would trust the loop portion to hold the weight of a full bottle. Other than the hinge, the mouth piece is great and the locking mechanism is great. I wouldn't expect this thing to leak ever, unless that hinge lets go. Other than being careful with the hinge, I'd say this is worth the price paid.
