I needed to use this for the many plants I have propagated in my place. This is such a good price online compare to in store and also include a mix of orchid bark, perlite and charcoal! So far it’s been helping with my bird of paradise, snake plants and monsteras. Highly recommend.

This has all the right ingredients for the perfect fast draining orchid mix. I have a few dendrobiums to repot and am currently in my "succulents are the best thing ever" phase. I have access to FREE rich dark black potting soil, but it's too dense for succulents - so adding bark seemed the perfect solution. (trying to stretch a buck here and avoid buying special succulent mix) Unfortunately, these bark chips are so large - 2.5 to 3 inches for the majority that I didn't think the mix was going to work for some of my smaller pots and mini succulents. UNTIL I turned to Ai - how can I make this work? So, as suggested I took one of the bags outside to the cement balcony and started pounding away with a rubber mallet. Easy enough fix. The 4 stars instead of 5 is for the extra mallet pounding effort I needed to make the mix usable.

I use this in my custom soil blend. It's great for adding aeration and drainage. Easy to store, easy to open, easy to use. Had low or no dust. I use it in my custom soil blend for plant growth and drainage consistency. Good looking mix.

Small bags, like seriously small . Think one plant covers it. But is exactly what it states it is

Super fast delivery. No bugs yet still moist. Much better than anything else I can find near me.. Nice large chunks of bark, charcoal and coarse perlite. The fir bark however doesn't look like the images that much, they're in longer splinters but I just cut those ones in half. May want to sift before using just to get some of the dust off, other than that it seems great so far.

The bag contained almost solely of bark with odd bits of perlite, so it's a bit of a stretch to call this a potting mix. The bark pieces were typically several cm large, not really suitable for orchids, at least not common house orchids like the Phalaenopsis.
