This is a typical Italeri modern aircraft model; poorly detailed cockpit, Engine Fans/Inlets, and wheel wells. Other than the flat upper nose, shape wise the Italeri A-10 is decent. Note that despite the label, this is not a true A-10C. Missing is an accurate A-10C cockpit with HOTAS Stick/ throttle, as well as the two MFDs on the Instrument Panel. The A-10C cockpit glare shield should also have raised squared corners, as a result of the MFD upgrade. Also omitted (though not really a part of the A-10C mod) is the latest upgrade to the A-10C; the AN/AAR-47 missile warning system. About the only new parts are the upper SATCOM antenna.During construction, you’ll be in for some significant fit problems with the Engine nacelles and wings. The Engine Nacelles have open access doors but provided but no engine details. The access doors fit poorly and require a lot of effort to blend/fair in. The trailing edges of nacelle openings and engines exhaust need a lot of clean up, sand to scale thickness, and made “true round”. Do yourself a favor a get the SHM Engine Fan/Inlet set to fit the engine fan issues.Test fit the wings to fuselage joints as the fit is not that good and you made need to shim it slightly with thin sheet stock as I did. The wheel well sponsons fit is worse and required a good deal of filling. The same goes for the upper and lower outboard wingtip joints. I used Miliput to fill these areas. There’s not much detail at all to the interior of the main landing gear wells. I suggest the Aires Wheel Wells.For stores you get pairs of mediocre CBUs, Rocket Pods, Mavericks w/LAU-117s, a totally inaccurate DRA, skinny looking AIM-9s. The ALQ-131 Deep pod looks ok to use. Also provided is one external tank; though it's a bit thin cross section wise.With the right After Market sets, this kit builds up into a very nice A-10 model, though currently there is no A-10C cockpit available yet. I strongly suggest to get the Engine Fan/Inlet Exhaust correction set & DRA (Dual Rail Launcher) from Sierra Hotel Models, Aires A-10A cockpit (until an accurate A-10C pit comes along), & Wheel Wells. Accurate Wheels would be nice, though not sure if any are available yet. For external stores, source various AM; Shull, WP, Attack Sq.

The model was nice till made the cockpit, none of the decals will stick and it is just poorly designed in general. I would not buy this considering the price.

Good model, clean and very detailed piece, this model lends itself to making many additional photo-engravings and others.

Guter und schöner Bausatz.Sehr aufwändiges Modell.Man sollte besonders darauf achten, dass das Modell sehr Hecklastig ist und deshalb vorne genügend Ballast verbauen.
