Definitely jam-packed with great info, but a tougher read for anyone who doesn't have the patience for a lot of "science" talk. Great source for those looking to truly understand the composition of EOs and possible hazards. If you're just looking for a quick reference regarding usage rates for different products, you will probably not be happy with this text. In other words, this is definitely more of a textbook than a quick reference guide.

As an RN, I am very impressed with this book. It offers details that you will not find from other resources. It is a reliable reference tool for those who are serious about the use of essential oils in the healthcare setting or use of oils in your home. I feel very confident with the information provided by these two authors. Tisserand and Young are reliable with their knowledge and very respected in the Essential Oil Community. I am very pleased to add this book to my collection.

If you intend to be a medicine maker of any kind -- this book is vital to your success. Yes, it's huge and yes it's scientific. But the information will enable you to know what essential oils are safe and in what amounts to combine in the products you are making. This book is the essential oil bible. Be safe -- this book will help you to make sure you know what you're doing.

Although it’s been awhile since receiving this book I really haven’t had a chance to use it yet.I have read from various websites though it comes highly regarded.I purchased it as I’m familiar with Robert Tisserand’s essential oil products, and Plant Therapy oils which are the very best!

At first, I wanted to return but after reading, the book is close to flawless. The only thing I wish was different is that they added their recommendations more. There is a lot of facts & testing information but I don’t always understand what the data is suggesting. All information on essential oils should be cross referenced with this book.
