This is a nice supplement for someone trying to learn french on their own, or for someone who took or is taking French lessons in school, etc.The French woman on the discs has an accent that will make you more comfortable about theThere are a few grammatical situations that it would be nice if the speakers elaborated on, however, otherwise I have only 3 issues with this set....1. Some of the music is good, while some is just annoying. They are all really catchy, though, which is kind of the point.2. This is British English, not American English, so there are a few terms mentioned that someone not familiar with British English might not understand right off the bat.3. The two speakers tend to address each other informally, when you should really be learning to address pretty much everyone you meet formally. They even mention this, but then proceed to continue using the informal way. Very annoying.

Pratique Quotidien / Practice Everyday
My French has improved a bit with using Earworms Learning. I don't have a native French speaker available at present, so I'm using Earworms Learning's Rapid French just to help build my confidence and help train my ears. J'aurais aimé avoir trouvé ça plus tôt! Avec assez de pratique peut-être aurai-je une correspondant Français!I also ordered French keyboard decals {for my Ordinateur; computer in French} to help with typing the French accent marks for typing.Bonn Chance

Too ambitious, good idea but that's all there is... BEWARE!
I tried Brazilian Portuguese and Russian with these audio courses and what I can say it's that this method is a cocky wannabe. I can't really find the words to describe how disappointed I am with it. The explanation they give about using song form for easy memorization is fine and true, but it doesn't work here. Why? Because in our lives even though we memorize complete songs that does happen because they are REAL songs! Instead here you will find two people talking and repeating phrases without following any rhythm nor rhyme. They have a background music but it's completely unrelated with what they speak and spell. And what confirms this wrong approach is that they use the same background music in all their languages. It's just ridiculous! Portuguese Track 1 has the same music as Russian Track 1, and the same happens with the other languages they offer. I mean you could put any background music or even not music at all and you would get the same result. Very lazy from their end. This is not how songs work in our heads. Why didn't they make real songs? It's not that hard to do. If you have the beat, make a song and give the phrases lyrics form, convert them into a melody to be sung, not just repeated senselessly. If you hear a real song you will realize that a singer sometimes sings some syllables longer or shorter than others or emphasizes one word over the others, and there's usually something called rhyme too, and there are pauses. Here the phrases are repeated over and over at a constant rate. It looks like an ambitious project on paper ended up as a dialogue with background music, nothing special. Apart from this I must also tell you that you will not learn much. You might memorize and repeat like a parrot a couple phrases but that's it. What a great opportunity they wasted: an opportunity to be a revolutionary method.

Such a fun way to learn to speak French! Bonne idée!
Such a fun way to learn French! Relaxing, engaging, practical. So fun to parle français ALOUD with the recording while driving or cooking or doing whatever. With the music in the background, it feels like a sing-along.Highly recommended! Give it a try!Especially if speaking French has been a challenge. It'll help you loosen up and start speaking!

Excellent langauge learning system
Bonjour! And that is as far as I got with these discs. But I bought these as a present for my partner who has used the Greek ones for mastering that langauge, and she says that they are brilliant. Certainly i don't understand half the stuff she says when we are on holiday, so they are obviously a lot more advanced than the O'level languages from my days at school (when I bothered to go). There are fewer dialects in Greece, and as such the Greeks find it very hard to understand words that are not pronounced properly as they are not used to having to 'interpret' a different pronunciation, apparently the 'dialect' of these tapes is more or less perfect for most locals to understand. In this way I think this system of learning is unique, almost as good as practising with a local in your own home.

Revision tool -found useful
Used in the car on journeys to revise for speaking exam and improve accent. Useful to supplement what you do at college or school for GCSE speaking prep. Painless revision tool.

Good for tourist basic or a start in a language
I have a few of these - all the music is the same which I used to think was a problem but I have found that the more languages I plug into I can test myself on each as any of the CDs progress

For any language course on CD you need a very good hi-fi which I do not have so unfortunately for me, I did struggle with some of the pronounciation.
