I'm using this powder to make cold water infusion, which works well for me. Did not like it with hot water as it's quite unpleasant to drink. I've also tried valerian root powder in pills, it did not work. Now I'm using 1 heaped teaspoon of this product per 500ml of water and infuse it for a few hours. I start drinking it 2-3 hours before sleep, it does not make me sleepy immediately, but when it's time for bed, I'm quite relaxed and fall asleep quickly. The effect is subtle, it does not really knock you down, there's no guarantee that you will sleep like a baby after taking valerian, but as a part of routine it definitely helps to unwind.

I use this herb to make a blend with chamomile, hops and California poppy. The result is a smooth tea that helps me to relax and drift off to sleep. The herb has that distinct and pungent smell that is associated with Valerian herb. I appreciate the powder, it's easy to work with and a little goes a long way. The price point is good. I highly recommend this product.

very strong valerian way better than buying tablets at the pharmacy that dont work.it smells strong and tates strong so just add a teaspoon into hot milk and within 30mins all anxity gone.im on valium for panic problems and having this as well is a blessing.im shocked how strong it is.will be buying again.price has now gone from $29.00 Australian dollars to $41,very pricey.

Do not purchase this item. It should not be sold in powder form. You cannot be prepared for the smell and worse the taste. You cannot mask this profoundly putrid taste with cranberry juice, orange juice, a green smoothie, there is no way and when you drink this your stomach will be upset. They do have pill form and that’s the way you should take this item. They would not take a return on this item and it’s been just less than a week. Do not purchase this item. I don’t know how any other review could say it’s tolerable in any way.
