Barlean's Chocolate Greens Powder, Superfood Drink Mix, Vegan, 9.52oz

Delicious! Great chocolate flavor. I drink this every morning as my breakfast.

My 7 year old is a VERY picky eater. His diet basically consists of frozen waffles, pizza, hot dogs, and burgers (I know, it is awful, but he refuses to eat anything else). It is a very frustrating situation to say the least. I have been struggling with getting him to eat healthier for years. I give him daily multi-vitamins to help fill in the gaps in his nutrition. He refuses to eat any fruits or vegetables or anything that tastes or looks remotely healthy. I don't understand why, but that is just how little 7 year old mind works. I found out about this product through a friend that recommended it and she said her kids love it. I got it 5 days ago and this is my recipe: I use one scoop of this powder and blend it with 8 oz of almond milk, half a frozen banana, 1 spoonful of almond butter and 5-6 cubes of ice. The consistency is THICK like a milkshake and tastes GREAT! My son LOVES it!!! I have been giving it to him for the past 5 days and he ASKS me for it every single day!! This afternoon he said to me "mom, can you make me that delicious chocolate milkshake again?" LOL. He has no idea this is healthy and good for him. He thinks it is a "treat". I usually give it to him right after he comes home from summer camp as his afternoon snack. I am afraid to tell him this is actually good for him because I feel like if he finds out he will refuse to drink it. Anyways, he thinks this is a milkshake and has no idea how I make it, he just LOVES it. I am going to eventually buy the other flavors and see if he likes those as well. I am very happy with this product and so excited to finally have found something good for my son that he loves!!! His chocolate "milkshake" is gone seconds after I give it to him. That's how good this is!!!

Our family absolutely loves the Barlean's Organic Greens. It has quickly become our family favorite. And this comes from a family with a few of the pickiest eaters out there. We are always looking for things we can give our kids that will give them good nutrition since they seem to gravitate towards things like french fries, mac and cheese, pizza, etc. - hardly a balanced diet. This chocolate shake powder fits the bill perfectly. My 2 year old asks for it at least once per day. I usually mix it with half milk / half water. This makes it the perfect consistency and flavor. Many times i will add a little instant coffee to turn it into a healthy mocha shape. I absolutely love McDonald's Frappes but know they are terrible for you so I make an alternative this way and blend some ice into it with my blender. What a treat on a hot day! I won't go on about the list of nutrients other than to say check out the label as it is full of great things, vegetables, enzymes, and probiotics. The great thing is that it still tastes great and your kids will never know all those things are in there. One final note: I've started adding this to my protein powder post workout shakes as well. It really improves the overall nutrition but in my opinion, it really improves the overall taste as well. Making something I could get down by force actually a pleasurable drink I could look forward to. This is one of the few products I actually like enough to have Amazon set up auto-ship on. I have one coming each month but due to my kids liking so much, may need to increase it to two per month. Thanks for making a great tasting, healthy way to get your nutrition!

For over a year I have religiously mixed the kiwi strawberry blend of this same product into water every morning. I do this because metamucil is chalky and actually hurts if you get the wrong amt. I just found out that they have this chocolate flavor, and maybe even a berry? Alright! The chocolate is very yummy just like the kiwi strawberry. I use this everyday since I survived colon cancer and you know, I'm still very healthy now. I will retest soon and report back if this regular safe plant based and super vitamin packed mix is healing energy or not. I feel well, I like the product, now let's test and see if this has created a more stable environment for my guts coping with an involuntary eating disorder. I survived a crime that left me throwing up food whether I like it or not. These products help me protect myself from all of that loss of nutrition and importantly plant based fibers that we all need so desperately to repair our cells in real time. Thank you to the Barleans family for not just making a great product, but for offering actually decent tasting stuff so that when I get a choice, I Still like them both. I don't want to give any of them up. Who would know a few years ago I would reject all fruits and veggies. Well me and my MD got me past that, and your family is how. Thanks guys. I'll write again when I pass all my tests with flying chocolate and kiwi strawberry colors soon maybe even berry! <3

Please read if you’re on the fence! We have ordered and reordered these Barlean’s chocolate greens for about 3 months now. My son is autistic and with that often comes some serious picky eating. I went with this brand because my son and daughters also LOVE the taste of Barleans “Omega Pals” slurping chirping lemonade that was highly recommended by his holistic doctor. So I decided to stick with a trusted brand and I am so glad I did. He LOVES this product, every morning he looks forward to his “milk” which is Califia Organic Coconut milk and these greens. Hard to say “greens” because it’s SO TASTY and my son is hard to get any sneaky vegetables or fruits by so if it’s even faintly detectable he will tell you to forget it 😅 since using this product for only a few months my sons picky eating AND his conversational speech have improved. He’s more willing to join in on conversations and is more adventurous with things he will try. If you have a picky kid, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s really worth the cost if you take time to compare ingredients with other lower cost brands. Thanks for reading!!!

I don't like many vegetables and husband is on Coumadin so greens are pretty much not on our table. Tasty way to get my greens. Took one star as it doesn't dissolve especially well. I even tried warm milk (yuk) but it mixes fairly well in my morning protein drink. Haven't tried cold milk yet. I will order again.

Best Greens, best flavor! Tastes like cocoa. Great in coffee and protein shakes.

I have used Barleans products for years. They are always great from the greens and the fish oils to their famous flax seed. You never go wrong. Keep up the great work Bruce.

I was looking forward to this product as for I Have been so happy with the Brands other products. However I was totally disappointed by the chocolate silk. It is extremely sweet with a terrible stevia after taste. I wasn't even able to get my kids to have a second sip! I returned the product.

Purchased for a friend. They like it.
