Worked great and didn't drip. Applied a nice even coat of sealer to my new granite. The size was perfect too.

yeh it's fine. Better than a rag or a brush or a sponge, and it doesn't seem to waste much nor absorb too much as one might fear. Quite good for this purpose. Rinses clean.
