This takes a long time to heat up, you run it through your hair once and the hest is all gone so you'd have to wait for it to heat up again. It also doesn't even straighten. My hair looked exactly the same street I used it, poofy, not straight.

Whether this is the right negative ion/heated/straightening comb for you depends entirely what you are looking for.Below is a break down of how I thought this negative ion comb shinedversus the ways in which it was less effective:Strengths- cordless operation- compact size- will not burn hair- can opt to use ion function without heat- design and accessories make it perfect for travel/gym/office/car/etc...- simple one button/two mode operationWeaknesses- long charging time (4 to 5 hours)- only get about one or two styling sessions per charge- smaller size might not be adequate for all hair types- only one heat setting (180°C/356°F)To give you some more context, I have been using this for a few days to straighten and smooth very fine hair that is already fairly straight and not very thick, but over-processed with a lot of split ends and frizz.Using the heat function on this comb definitely improves the look of my hair, giving it a sleek finish.I did not see much change when I used the negative ion function on its own, so I now use the heat function exclusively.I love that I can sit in front of the TV or my laptop while I smooth and style my hair with this device.I also like that this does not burn my hair the ways some straightening irons I have used can.If my hair is already brushed through and dry, I can get maybe two styling sessions out of this before I need to charge it, but I fear people with thicker hair would get one sessions max.Realistically, this is a device you would want to put on to charge each night because it requires a long charge, so you would need to accept that as one of its limitations.I also feel this might not be big or powerful enough to help those with really thick and difficult to tame hair because the comb itself is relatively small and there is only one lower heat setting.I would recommend this for people who are looking to tame their hair on the go and/or anyone who hates standing in front of the mirror to style their hair.I would not recommend this to someone with exceptionally thick, unruly hair and/or someone looking for a high heat product.

This hardly takes up any space in my luggage. Love that it's cordless. On a full charge, I was able to use it for a full weekend. I don't have a beard but It's great for long or short hair. I used this on myself who has fine thin hair. This work great without giving me frizzy strands. It did not burn the ends of my hair. I was able to get the straight hair I was looking for without giving my hair a crimped look. Plus it helps brush out those little knots that got pass my brush.

My wife and daughter where thrilled when I told them I got a cordless hair straightener brush. They have a couple that are corded and absolutely loves them. This one is no good. Push the button to turn on, and my wife claims that it doesn't heat up or straighten their hair at all. They prefer the corded ones, and will be sticking with those. This will just go in a drawer and probably never get used again.

This really wouldn't work for me other than touching up little fly-aways. I am not sure it would work on wiry beards either and you definitely have to press the button until its red other wise the blue light really doesn't get hot enough. The instructions really aren't the greatest. Would be a great stash away for your office drawer if you needed to straighten stray pieces.
