spring air
I had these installed on my 2013 Ford Edge Sel. Even with the factory tow package I had somewhat of a squat when towing 3000#. Ford rates my Edge at 3500# with a tongue weight of 350 # These bags solved the problem. Level and a relaxed ride. Most quality shops will not install these bags if they were not in the options for the SUV. I did however find a few shops to do the job for me. Trust this....there is alot of work to be done when installing these bags on a 2013 Ford Edge. You want to find a shop with quality mechanics and a clean looking place. I took my Ford to a custom shop in Lakeland Florida and they did a perfect clean install. Took them with all the proper tools 4 hrs. My total cost for the Air Bags and labor was $537.00

Great product, tough install for some vehicles
This product is a good value for the money. However, installing it into a Ford Edge is perhaps a greater challenge than any of the other vehicles described in the advertisements. I did get this installed and it does perform like I hoped it would but this was much more than the standard DIY effort you would expect. In this vehicle removing the "Jounce" bumpers requires fully compressing and removing the rear springs, not an easy job. Based on the type of vehicle you drive, this may turn out to be daunting.

Money well spent
I tow a 2200lb tent trailer with my Ford Edge. I've had problems with the rear of the car sagging and the tounge of the trailer riding low. Once I had these air bags installed, all that went away. The car and trailer now ride level. No more bottoming out or bouncing when going through dips. I've read other stories about how the installation of these air bags in the Ford Edge is not easy. A local shop quoted me 2 hours labor to install them. I am somewhat mechanically inclined, so I could have done it myself. But I figured I'd rather pay the 2 hour shop rate rather than spend a good part of the day doing it myself. The shop also ran the air lines into the area where the spare tire resides, so it makes for a very clean setup. I found that I only need about 20 lbs of air in them when towing the trailer. 20 lbs can be easily added using a bicycle pump, so you don't need an air compressor to fill up the bags. When not towing, I bring the air pressure down to around 7 lbs.
