It says it converts firestone spartan to cornelius. then it says not compatible with firestone or spartan. ???

That's what happens when non-brewers sell on Amazon. This is a complete Krome Dispence C850 kit to convert Firestone and Hoover Pin Lock Keg fittings to ball lock Post fittings. Also used as a replacement on AEB and Cornelius product tanks. That being said, the corny kegs in use today can be up to 50 years old and may have been rebuilt many times. Be sure to keep the liquid and gas side straight the gas side is notched on the nut If you can't get it to thread cleanly these won't fit your keg. Guessing it won't fit about 2% of kegs.
