Prestige Insulin Cooling Bag for Temperature Sensitive Medications

I have used my Prestige cooling bag for two international trips so far and in both cases it kept approx a month’s worth of my biological medication (2-3 injections) at the right temperature for 12+ hours. The bag is well made and relatively compact. The free cooling bag I received from the biological medication company failed after one use because it was so flimsy and led to me buying this one. In contrast, the Prestige bag is really well made. If you are traveling for more than a month, I recommend getting the larger bag that the company produces.

Amazing to have when traveling abroad and most TSA units don't question it at all. From my experience it has only lasted 20 hours max below 8°C before I have needed to add bags of ice to reduce the temperature back below 8°C, which I have had to do since there have been period of times where I had no access to a fridge for 24 hours. I wish it was more insulated along the outside, which would help it last to its advertised 24 hours, but still a great product to have when traveling with medicine for long and short flights / car rides.

I tested it out with no meds just a wireless thermometer and it kept it cold for 24 hours but not cold enough. It states that it will keep it at 2-8C (~35-46F) for up to 24 hours, but it only kept it at 50-55F for the 24 hours. Ambient temp was 75F. I put the gel packs in the freezer for 14 hours as instructed and the bag in the freezer for a couple hours before the test run.

I gave this a few test runs at home before the trip, and it did not keep it at the temp needed for biologics for more than 6 hours. The back of the bag has poor insulation. I ended up packing it inside another cheap soft cooler with ice packs around it (from the pharmacy shipment). Then, it was good for about 14 hours. Just fyi it just barely fit 3 Humira auto inject pens.

The product does not keep its promises.The 24h storage at a temperature of 2 to 5 ° were unfortunately not held.I tried to contact the seller for a return but without success.

It doesn't matter what gel pack you use, it works much better than my expensive and un-trustable mCool insulin fridge. It keeps my 2 pens among 2º and 8º C for almost 6 hours without a problem. There is still space for some alcohol swaps and needles. I do recommend this bag.

Perfect size. Holds lots of meds. I got the 24 hour pack. 13 hour flight plus 7 hours in transit my meds stayed perfectly cool. Price was quite reasonable for quality and performance. Love it!!!

Works great. I'm just not sure how long it keeps it cool.
