Sander Attachment

I love the matrix and this attachment didn’t disappoint. I use the matrix for home improvement and hobbies. I have Milwaukee set I use for work. I got this sander for my wife to sand and stain a coffee table and to sand paint off wood bar stools that my wife then repainted.

I was a bit hesitant to buy the 'Bolt On' tools - until I saw a review that this was "one of the best tools of 2012 - potentially the decade" according to a review. I received the 'starter set' (includes the main body, drill attachment and battery) for Christmas. Soon after I started to look for the best prices on the attachments. I settled on the jigsaw and this sander attachment. Within a few days I had a use for each of them - and they did not disappoint. The Pros: Plenty of power - surprisingly more than a small handheld I used to own Easy to control Good assortment of sanding pads included (60, 120 and 240 Grit) Pads swap easily The Cons: At some odd angles it can be challenging to hold the trigger down while applying pressure to the surface you're sanding For some jobs it's too tall and you need a handheld or sanding block Other: The main body does get fairly warm when using this - but so far no problems so no stars off (yet) Basically it's a convenient and fairly powerful option. I don't know that I would get rid of the handheld sander just yet - but in many applications this wins as part of the set.

So with doing a little research I found that the Bolt-On is manufactured by Black & Decker. All of the Matrix attachments fit the Bolt-On fine, so no more waiting for attachments. Feel free to call Black and Decker, they can confirm! Don't think I would get rid of my electric sander but this does come in handy when your on a job and don't have access to power.

I go this for my 20v Matrix Drill and it works amazing. I like the Matrix system since I can have numerous attachments and not have to deal with keeping up with numerous tools. The sander works great and being hooked to the drill make sit easy to hold. The unit includes a few things of sand paper, but since this unit has a normal size sand paper you can use any that fit it by just buying whatever grade you need from the store. The unit works great and sands down wood and (I recently had to sand some plastic) perfectly and is easy to hold when doing it. This is a great choice for anyone who has the Matrix drill and wants to be able to sand as well. Highly recommend!!

If your expectations are that this will be the best sander in the world then you need to rethink your expectations. For a $30 tool attachment this is great value for money. It is perfect for small projects and has exceeded my expectations. I thought this would do a decent job, but it is actually a good sander, not the best sander but a good one. If you have the matrix system you need to get this.

I purchased the B&D Matrix Drill because at the time it was the best deal in the store, for some forgotten reason I am a little prejudice against B&D products. Besides being the best price/power option at the store that day I was curious about the attachment functions. I ordered the Sander attachment through Amazon. I have used it for several projects from sanding smaller pieces of wood to smoothing out the end of PVC pipes that were cut a little rough. This sander works fine, I have had no issues with it. It has not been fragile, this was an issue I had first feared. I like that it is easy to replace the sanding pads, and that it is an exchangeable attachment for a single drill. It is not to difficult to exchange the parts when you get the hang of it, it maybe a little difficult to some until they get the hang of it. The only draw back for me is that the sanding pads can only be obtained online in my area, but that is not an issue with the product itself.

Got this to help re-finish an old piece of furniture. I like the Black and Decker Matrix system in concept, but you can't count on it for serious work. It was ok for what we needed, just a home project. The pads fit nicely on the sanding attachment and they do work, but I felt like the sander didn't contact the surface as flush as I would have liked so you will not see the most even wear across the pad. However, it does work and our project was successful. The tradeoff for the less than optimal efficiency of this device is that I don't have to buy and store a second tool. Since I don't use a sander too often, I'm ok with it. If you need to sand a lot, go with a dedicated sander.

Es una herramienta complementaria si tienes el taladro Matrix, es una herramienta básica, si requieres más potencia busca otra opción, para tareas sencillas cumple
