Why does third pic show the first straight piece of column (first connection to boiler) marked 1.5” on left and 2” on right? Is the whole thing 2”?

No 3 inch ones, dear, you can buy an adapter at your local, similar to an adapter, so you can use this distillation column normally.

No directions in box. My pot has 3 inch on it so you offer an adaptor for 2" to 3"

No they don't offer any adapters. They do however offer custom fabrication. In the description it indicates if you require a different size to contact them before ordering. They're more than willing to produce custom fitting sizes had no additional charge. Mine arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date. And exactly as described.
